To those with a sub on the stock system...
Just wondering how it sounds, I really don't feel like installing my clean sweep in this car or going aftermarket H/U.
How does an aftermarket sub and amp sound on the stock system with just a line converter?

i have a infinity type r 10" and a alpine amp.
all that 12" and 15" **** is too much for me i just wanted a nice sound without shakin my car apart and i usually have females in my car and they wont want their ear drums busted so i opted for less.
pretty much everything i do involves a female in some way...just had to realization come to me.

Your gonna lose sound quality with a line convertor. But it will get you the bump you need I would say put the clean sweep back in, your previous setup was awesome. But yeah it would be alot of work!

my clean sweep sounded amazing, but I had replaced all my speakers and amped them as well... in anycase I am really too busy to install the cleansweep, I may just go with an aftermarket H/U after all.

It took me some twinkering as well. completley disconected my factory sub at first, and used the plug'in (4wireconnector) to my amp. Have the filter switch option on my sub to run off the 6x9's. So I ran from the facorty sub connector. I now have an amped sound, more bass than I've ever had, with everything hooked up. I have a clear sound, I was surprisised, and have been running it like that for a whole year.
Running my Remote wire off a toggle switch, So when I don't want the big bang, I flick the switch, and then I'm only running factory sub. And when I want the bang. I turn the bass way down on the H/U, adjust it up 3 or 4 notches, flick that switch, and I'm rumbling!

ehh i had mine hooked up for a couple months to my stock H/U and it sounded aliright. I got sick of staring at my JVC sitting in my room so i decided to throw it in and the SQ difference is amazing

I wish there wasn't so many do-dads you had to install to throw an after factory into these balts, otherwise, I would have had my H/U tore out long ago, Unless someone can tell me something I don't know! ! ! ! Please. LoL.
After factory H/U are always soo much better than factory. I miss my 03 Cavi with the after factory and subs. LoL

I ran off a LOC and didn't like it. Heard too many audible highs, since it is run off a full speaker input, and amp settings can only do so much. I pulled it all and bought a 3.sixty.one signal processor to be able to run straight sub tones to it, but it is not in yet. I started a 305 sq ft dynamat/dynaliner project, but got mono, and have not been able to finish. I will do a writeup once the signal processor is in. I have the usb port on my stock unit, so it will be in there forever
