Too cold for factory XM?

Is it possible for it to be too cold for the factory XM radio? I've had my SS for about a month - bought it new - and over the past week and a half or so, my XM doesn't work for my morning drive - the only stations I can pick up are XM1, 174 and some other preview channel. It works fine later on in the day and the standard radio, etc., is fine.
The weather is the only thing I can think of that may effect it, since we've had at or below zero morning temps in Cleveland for a bit. Note that it doesn't have any snow on the receiver, it's just extremely cold.
Has anyone else experience this or know what it may be? I just have a feeling this is going to be very difficult to reproduce for a service center, and while I've called XM they really are very little help.

well, we have been well below 0 for the past 2 1/2 weeks and my XM has worked perfectly every day. It worked from a dead start in -51, so I don't think it coudl be that. Could be a bad connection and the cold will probably make the connection worse.

Could be. It's very weird though because if I'm getting audio through XM1 obviously I am picking up signal from the satellite. When I have it on XM1, it acts like I need to sign up for service - and the service number it gives me is the one for Canada. So..
I can only think of a single logical reason why it would happen, and it's almost crazy. That being at night I'm even too far north or Lake Erie is causing my XM to think I'm supposed to be on the Canadian network.
It almost makes sense because it works fine later in the day, even though it's really the same temperature throughout the day and it spends the same amount of time sitting in the parking lot at work as it does at home - so I don't think it could be losing it's signal due to non-use or anything..

It's not that big of a deal because I always listen to regular talk radio in the morning anyhow, it's more just weird than anything. I guess worst case if it's still acting up in a month I'll take it to the dealer then..

its possible the two networks have boundries and you are driving past/through one. Radios dont loose reception by not using them...regardless if its satellite or not. Call XM maybe you will need access to canadian network to? Im not completely sure but its worth a shot...do some troubleshooting....drive the same route....different time of day see if its the same

i think there is a problem with your XM Attenta. I had a friend read my computer one day and he found a thrown code for my XM attenta, he just cleared it out. Cant say that I had a problem like yours, but take in to the dealership when it aint working. Hopefully it wont work when its at the dealership.

I have had this happen a few times. Last time it happened I had called XM and they sent an update to my radio and I have not had any other problems since then.

Yeah, I called XM the first morning it happened and that didn't really solve anything. I dont really think anything is phsyically wrong with, as otherwise it shouldn't be screwed up *only* in the morning.

And that's exactly what it's acting like - I don't have service - I think calling XM and having them add me to their canadian and American networks could be a fix, too. I'm still going to take it to the dealer anyhow since they will wash the car and it's cold as sh*t outside.

In one year I have never had a problem with my factory XM not working. There has got to be a problem with yours.
