My current ones were some ebay cheapos. THey're half burned out already.
The pair I had before that were superluminations. They lasted pretty well, even through a deer strike and a roll over (in the G5).
As far as the hyperflash goes, I personally never put the resistors in to stop it. But you can usually use a set of resistors to make them flash normally.

[QUOTE=mkulrey13;5574621]Cruise control is based off the third brake light. Unless you swapped that to LEDs without a proper resister, you have other problems.[/QUO
i never switched my third brake light. i put leds in my taillights and couldnt use my cruise control when i would turn my lights on. so i switched them back to regular bulbs and never had a problem. it was when leds first came out. so when i go to v-leds.com to buy turn signal bulbs for the front do i buy standard or ck type? and is it easy to put resistors on too?

The resistors are $6 and plug-and-play from vleds. Why do people make this so much harder than it has to be?
Also, I'd avoid switchbacks on 05-06 cars. Just rig something up yourself if you really want that effect, but I'm not sure anyone has successfully killed the DRL's without some creative wiring.

It is probably easy but never done it tho. Thanks for the info bout not using switchbacks since I have a 05. I just want to buy some leds so when I istall my retros I won't have to worry bout it for a while.

You can, but I'm betting it would significantly reduce the life span of the bulbs.
As for the cruise control issue, I'm using an Impala LED board in my third brake light, and my cruise works fine. Just using LED bulbs is gonna be enough to screw with the cruise, that's why I used the LED board. I wired up a 194 base to the power wires from the Impala board so it's plugged right into one of the light sockets, and everything works.
