sorta not really i'm pretty sure the gmos lan 03 and 04 could be interchangeable in a pinch but any specific reason your asking for without onstar?

well from what i read on early pages there really no need for it. I currently don't pay for it. So do i really need it? Also what are the 4 rca cables for from the lan 04 kit? I also looked at this GM13SR not sure if this has everything included

07SS with Pioneer and XM, no on-star. What harness would I need? Kinda skeptical because all the different crap I read but I hate how quiet the factory radio is. Anything special I will need to do while hooking it up? I don't care about the chimes or wheel controls.

I have an 09 SS with pioneer system. I'm replacing the deck for now, and I bought a Scosche GM2500i. Now I'm not so sure this will work. Any thoughts?

its listed as for a cobalt.... it just looks like more of a "multi" option vs the vehicle specific ones. its probably more complex to mess with but it should work just fine

Just wanted to clarify..I have an 05 lt with the pioneer system and looking to put in a new hu, specifically the Pioneer 4300UB. The guy at crutchfield told me that I either needed the $180 or $99 wiring harness, so i was wondering if it would work with just the metra 70-2103? If so, would i only lose the steering wheel control? thanks

u would loose the steering wheel control regardless unless u buy the separate adapter but if u run the 2103 and install it properly you just loose chimes and possibly rap (retained accessory power) depending on the vehicle

According to sonics electronics, Scosche GM1599B / GM1599 is the part number for their double din kit. scosche GM13SR is their wiring harness. Both for the 2006 cobalt. Unless I'm in error, you should add these parts numbers in there And if I'm in error correct me!

Scosche GM1599B Double DIN Installation Dash Kit for 2004-up

Scosche GM13SR GM/ LAN Stereo Replacement Interface Module for

Also, sonics says the metra harness does not have an accessory lead, and that you will lose your factory door chimes. The door chimes is false since they don't go through the radio, right? The schsche is much more expensive than the metra.

the scosche part are right. i just cant edit the first page anymore. the metra harness doesn't have an acc lead in the harness itself. it comes with a separate wire you would need to run to the fusebox. door chimes is false thou. if you end up getting the scosche harness leave the rcas and just plug them into the preouts on the pioneer

I tried everything including voltmeter testing and the harness officially does not work for the pioneer systems, only base cobalts. Not the right interface. Don't get it.. getting the metra harness. What a waste of cash ;-; I'm getting the new one for free though so that's good. Dash kit is still pending.

Can I get more info on running to the fusebox on the metra? Can I just tap into the wire that powers when the key is turned?

so heres an odd one... I just wired up my Pioneer 4200dvd. It will only play music with the key on ACC. I'll turn the key up one more notch before the actual start and it will play until the door chime stops. Once the chime stops so does the music. The hu still has power and is in working condition. Now when I start it, does the same thing. Door will chime, chime stops and music stops along with it. Any idea??

By new one for free, theyre just gonna give me the metra for free since they gave me the wrong one originally. As for the old one, Im going to try to return it and/or get my money back for it. Failing that.. throw it away as I already soldered **** onto it. But they should refund me since they insisted this was the part and they said they'd replace if it was incorrect. Customer support's been good so far.

Question. How would I wire up a bypass switch for the p3300bt pioneer headunit? I got a three pronged switch, prongs marked 1 2 and 3 (creative). One's ground, one's load, ones power. What do I wire each prong to?

the reason im asking is because if it turns on but theres no audio then i can tell you how to do it with that harness (would require cutting) otherwise you can do the metra and run the wire to the fusebox. both are equally ghetto

i just wanted to make sure u werent getting the metra harness in trade for the one u bought. if that was the case then u would be loosing like 70 bucks

what brand is it? even the metra ones which are the best are iffy. only so much you can do when your trying to make a replica of a 500 dollar radio for 80 bucks and people get mad thats too expensive

you can try unplugging it and see if that helps but idk probably wont

well i found a scosche harness unopened in my garage. I'm gonna try using that when i get home, I mean i don't even use OnStar. So basically just hook that up like a normal harness, speakers, ground, acc, power etc and tap into the pink wire? I've seen 3 pink wires on the stock harness for the radio, which one is it? Also if i'm going that route will i need to tap into my wiper fuse for power?

nvm on this, i got it to work. I used the end of the LAN harness that connects to the vehicle side. Cut all the wires off of the LAN box and wired straight to the head unit. Ran the power to the fuse panel and the green wire to a relay that is powered by the remote and bam. Works great now.

I have an 09TC, can I get a GM radio with navigation from a Saab or something else and simply plug it in and not lose my blue tooth/handsfree/steering wheel controls/on star? Where would I start to research this? Something with a backup camera would be awesome.
