I wouldnt replace the back ones unless it was absolutely necessary. First of all its nearly impossible to get to them. You have to take out basically the entire rear interior of the car. Second, The sound quality wont be that much better. I would start by replacing the front component speakers. $250 should get you a nice set, and then go from there. Just my opinion.

I said this before and I'll say it again.
I replaced my stockers with infinity reference speakers as well, thought they sounded pretty good.
That was until I traded those for a set Hertz energy series component (5.25w3/4 in front and 6.5w3/4 in back) They blow them out of the water.
No offence to Britt, I know you liked the infinity's but for the same price I paid for the infinity's I got the Hertz and there 1o times the speaker.
Even if you go with the lower line Hertz speakers there still a better speaker than most you'll find out there in that price range.
IMO the Focal Speakers are just as good as the Hertz and sell for the same price (unless you go for the Utopia's, they will cost ya)

Oh and "Mommy never Hug me Enough" Chimes in his 2 cents
First of all, cant you come up with something better than Infinity licks *****?
You must have learned that on those rough ass streets your from
Guy, Your from Edmonton!!!
Thats hardcore, I hear its gets crazy down at West Edmonton Mall, must be a real hotbed of ganland activity.
Your a fraud, who doesn't have anything usefull to say.
You say your some crazy installer, but all you ever say is "that licks *****" and so on.
Wow you must had to go through some intense schooling for that
Emp- I have found that if the tweeters are to harsh, switch the positive and neg. up
I know it sounds stupid but it changes the sound stage and takes alot of the harshness out of them
Myself, I like alot of high end, thats why I roll with my treble on 7 (lol)

Infinity are good speakers for the money. I like the Kappa's a lot. I went with MTX in my car though. I got a great deal on them on ebay brand new and they sound really good. Most of the higher quality aftermarket speakers are going to sound better though, just a matter of which you think sounds best! You should go to a retailer and listen to the different ones and then try to find them online for a better price! Good luck :0)

lol yeah.
most people...me included, have only had one brand and they think it's the best without trying others...yes im guilty. but i dont push it lol. but my advice for the thread starter is to just go and look first, and then if you dont get the ones you want, youll know next time..

id upgrade the 6.5's first.... look into the diaamond audio hex series
but in reality go to an audio shop and listen to what they have.. everyones ears hear things diffrently.. i have slight hearing damage and diamond sounds great to me... it might suck for you.. much like the guy above who said JL is the best... i think there mids and highs sound like muddy garbage
