I switched hu from a Eclipse CD3200, the Eclipse hu was great but USB kept breaking so i said hell with it and bought a new hu. I have the Kenwood Excelon X-396 an the sound quality is excellent. a touch screen double din would be optimal but hey, for 130$ its a pretty good hu.
I just bought my little brother his first hu for x-mas too. I got him the Kenwood Excelon X-395 for his 03 Trailblazer. I think he's goin to be stoked, he's still too young an in school to get the money to buy it himself so I got him one. An when I get my Rockford fosgate component setup for the front and new coax for the rear deck I'll give him my Kicker DS speakers an he'll be set w/o even spending a dime.

for the record, i've had good experience with Kenwood amps but their power output seems vastly lower than what they are rated. and their speakers and subs are pretty trashy IMO.

I am pissed, I found an Audiobahn A4002T on craigslist for $75 but the poster won't answer my calls. I was going to run that for rear mids/highs and run a second one for the front whenever I find one(they are all over craigslist but people want a ton for them) for a decent price.

Yeah, it's cool though, hope everyone had a good Christmas and I think I will ease off the Cobalt for a while since I got a HPI Sprint 2 flux and am really thinking of going with a CF chassis and all aluminum suspension parts... I honestly think it is fast enough for me as of now but I want it to handle like it's on rails.

Yeah, mine has a belt drive system and the rear belt doesn't have a tensioner from factory(WTF right) and the rear belt is now slipping like a biatch. so I am thinking of doing a rear belt tensioner mod to fix that before I start anything else.

I have Hertz components in the stock locations (tweeter and 6.5") driven by the factory amp, factory pioneer 6x9's driven by the factory amp and then an aftermarket Pioneer amp driving the factory 10" sub. Factory HU.

So... I am running an Audiobahn A275HCT to the subs now, looking for another so I can run them to the mids and highs and run some real power to my subs... Oh and I have put almost 800 into my RC...
