Upgrading to Pioneer MP3 system
I got a good deal on a cobalt w/o the pioneer system, just a 4 speaker CD player. Any tips on mild upgrade that will allow me to keep the original look?
Also, is anyone who has upgraded to aftermarket from Pioneer stock system looking to sell their stock system?

Don't quote me on this but I don't think that you can just add the Pioneer MP3 player HU into a cobalt that has the Delco 4 speaker set-up. That head unit is made to be connected to an amp which connects to all 6 speakers and the sub. If you really want to upgrade your system you could get an aftermarket deck change the speakers and add an amp. If installed properly an aftermarket deck will look really clean. Just look at the pics of some of the set-ups on here. And you can add 6.5" all in one components on the front where you already have the 6.5" and decent 6/9's in the back. Hook those up to a four channel amp and your good to go. If you want allot of bass, put a 10 or 12 or a pair in a enclosed box in your trunk. There is allot you can do, it just depends on how much you want to spend.

I don't know about you, but I am preferring the stock look now. I use to be about putting in new stuff. I feel it is alot more fun to make changes/upgrades without being able to see it. A stealth system. I have Alpine R components inthe front and R 6x9 in the back and 10 inch sealed sub in the trunk. Perfect for me and running off of stock head unit.

Theftlock
I forgot to ask, there's no way to get around Theftlock with a Tech2 scanner right? If not, what's a fair price to pay a dealer for that service?
