Talking Venom got dynoed! on a real dyno!

sup all! i finally got on my original dyno from when i first got my car! he is from NJ he has a aesome mustang dyno on a trailer! people say his numbers are so low that its to real lol for example: twin turbo viper (video # 2) got only 680 whp but it was supposed to lay 800 whp i also included my old dynos from when i first got on this, and a dyno jet w/ intake, exhuast, and header way overrated...

it was 90+ degress outside and i did all 3 pulls in 4th gear.

Im running: GM stage 2, 2.8 pulley, intake, exhaust, hi flow cat (leak), and a header....
My last time on this dyno (last year) i had intake and a muffler....
here is the sheets

original dyno numbers: (Intake, welded on fart can)

New numbers:

exagerated dynojet numbers: 3rd gear (intake, magnaflow catback)

here are some videos:
venoms dyno run 4th gear: http://media.putfile.com/venom-dyno-run-4th-gear

twin turbo viper! http://media.putfile.com/twin-turbo-viper

this next video i used a sad and sorrow type song because i really felt hurt to lose even thoe i knew i was going to in the 1st place... yall know the feeling like "damn i wish i had 5 grand lol" dont hate on my video editing skills either they are grade school level :freak5:

Not bad if you go off the second one. The torque is a pretty descent number also

Thumbs up

hp tuners in a few weeks! the guy told me once tuned i should see 270 ish he tuned a guy with a ss w/ hp tuners at his shop and he said he had just stage 2, I/E/H i have a 2.8 over him and he made 262 whp and 240 tq so hp tuners it is asap! i will go back to his dyno once finished so i get my car tuned perfectly

im running 13.6 im probably putting 270+ on the dynojet im prob gonna go there once too just to see what i run

So the dyno you went to used an SAE correction factor? Is that normal?

i dont know what that means im happy with it thoe i beat my friends 270 whp sentra 2.0t so i know im making good power

but i think the temp outside (had a influence on my readings) is that called uncorrected or corrected?

Well I just see it says SAE 1.02 with both runs. I think that is a correction factor used based on the temp.

haha that viper was sickkkk. I still wanted to see what that dude with the GTI was putting down. As i was leaving he was starting his dyno runs (or whatever there called lol). His car sounded pretty mean though lol. Nice numbers again though. It was good seeing you again haha. It was a long time since I last saw you haha

I think something was wrong there. In his prev dyno he went up to 6500 and was making more horsepower the higher he went.

In this more recent dyno he gets to about 6000 and then it starts to drop off. This doesnt really make sense, and is way different then other dyno's I have seen. Also where these corrected or what cause I know per my interceptor today on my way to work I was taking in 94 degree intake temps so IM sure you sitting out in the sun w/ no moving air may have bene even worse.

IM almost 100% sure I put down more horse power then my bro cause from 6000+ is where I pull on him at. Seems like somethings wrong w/ your car man.

ACTUALLY both TORQUE and HP drop off really bad after 6000k.

thanx bro!

jeremy i think its the difference in ecu's the 06 ecu is way more aggresive than the 04
with timeing tables and air fuel curves

im gonna buy a wide band soon and when my interceptors get here i find out if i have any knock issues. but other than that i dont see a problem i think these are true numbers compared to the dyno jet which makes me happy i gaines 30 whp and almost 20 tq from
a pully, hi flow cat, header, and a flash thats sounds good for me....

now im going to get from mount heat exchanger, hp tuners and try againe

This was talked about on a diff thread. Idk if its exactly wut they were saying about after you get into higher rpms the power starts to taper off and boost drops. If this is the same thing then venom should check his boost around 6k or 65hundred correct? He may have to do the boost bypass mod. Correct me if im wrong but i may sound like a noob here

hey venom, what year is your saturn? I heard the '04s have a different tune and make power earlier and then drop off.

i heard this about the eariler redlines also, not too knowlegable about saturns so idk when they were first made but im pretty sure it was one of the first years. Eariler in the first years of production cars tend to have problems, but u know this already, this may be one of urs, obviously us 05-06 balts have probs so this may be one of urs. But seriously check out the thread i was speaking of eariler, along with this problem that "blown 4 banger" has brought up, pretty sure its one of the 2.
