Yea you can program it to say anything back, it helps when you are not looking at the screen so you know the function was completed, but yea she sure is obedient, but she can still have her moments!

The Amp I already had, headunit & computer are brand new products, computer is a Proto type, they are listed for sale together $850.00, << I didn't pay, the 2nd amp I bought was $120.00, then the power supply about $150, Oh & the headset was $79, I could set one of these up in a car for about $1,200 easy.
When you start the car the computer will not shut off, it continues to run..so after start & the headunit comes back on the computer is still where you left it on the screen!

Thats for when you are not in the car & want to turn down the external speakers at shows, one click makes a big difference on them.. with the headunit off, in the car driving I do just turn it up or down, It also has commands for it 0, 10, 20, 30 percent, I'm just showing you how reactive it is, takes 2 hours just to upload a 5 min vid so I can't show you it all!

The Computer power is cut completely when the car is sitting on my car.. due too it is a show car & isn't used for weeks at a time. I also could leave it running in stand by, but again I would need to put on my trickle charger> In stand by mode it's very little, someone driving their car everyday would never notice.
I accidently left mine on for 1 full day in desktop, not stand by & my car still started, you can also start my car & the computer will not shut off or even blink, hick up or what ever you want to call it.
I have external speakers I set up for shows that go under the car, I can run the speakers & the computer without the Headunit being on, in this mode with music & computer load it takes 235 watts of power to run the system which is about the same as a stock radio, it also takes 5 hours for it to drain down the battery to where it wont start.

Awesome concept... though for me I'd imagine it's still easier to use my steering wheel controls than talk to Amanda.

I think you missed the point it isn't only radio, it's internet, net radio, GPS, Hp Tuners & alot more..our steering wheels don't have them controls & TY. By the way you can name it what ever you want whenever you want oh & I also have 196GB of music on the Hard drive

I'm thinking about it, but thats right in the middle of raining season here...which is busy season for us. I would need to get a transport to haul the car up & back. Lets see how it goes, I'll let you know.. My dad lives about 1 1/2 hours outside chicago

Awwwwww, I've always wanted a carputer.

Any time I hear voice recognition and Cobalt all I can think of is the OnStar phone feature. I was trying it out during my trial period, and noticed that if you put it in dial mode during any significant rainfall, it would start calling out random numbers

LOL, I didn't get it as a option..our SS/TC has it & so far no random dialing. This computer has Skype in it which is great..because I do have that, nothing like video chat while driving
