where did u guys mount ur amps? pics please :)

Ya but the power series was designed to not get hot, the heat sinks and the TDS2 pretty much make sure they don't get hot.
And they are fan cooled
And they are fan cooled

AND AS I SAID when you push an amp at 1 ohm doing 1000 watts that puppy is gonna get hot. It is better for your amp to run fans, or you could be lazy and burn up your amp I really don't care, there are subs out there require 1000 rms you know. So I don't get the whole buy the right amp **** because you can never go wrong by cooling down an amplifier, but what do I know...

Hmm, then explain why zapco fan cools their class d's.

I have a couple of Subs that are asking for 1000 watts RMS and I've bought the right amp to run them without overheating, or needing to be fan cooled...it was real simple to buy. there is nothing wrong with fan cooling, except your adding noise to your system, but again, if you properly set up the system they are NOT needed.

Because they are competition amps and they know the people who buy them are going to be pushing them to their absolute limit is my best guess. I don't want to start an argument here, having a fan is not a bad idea, but here's something to think about. If you have a sub(or subs) pounding in your trunk, is there not more air moving around your amps than a tiny fan can push? The air is always moving, so your sub is actually doing the same thing that a fan would do. Here's a little story to support my theory: One day I was tuning the system in my now destroyed Sunfire. I had my lunch cooler beside my rear facing Kicker 15" SL5 sub and the back seat folded down. I had the sub cranked and was adjusting the gain on my amp and watching the clip indicator. When I was done my tuning session, I went to flip the back seat up again and noticed that my lunch cooler had been pushed about 10" towards the front of the car and on to the back of the seat! CONCLUSION: IT WOULD TAKE A PRETTY HUGE FAN TO PUSH AS MUCH AIR AS MY 15" DID!

[QUOTE=drewski;1470912]here's mine. I also have the amp for my speakers, but thats on the back of the sub enclosure, so its nothing special

I'd like to do something like to mine.
