Where to ground the amp/move cap

Hey Dudes,
I need to know where is a good grounding point for my amp that is currently bolted to the "small" back seat. I was thinking underneath the rear seats but i don't know. i don't want to resort to drilling the chasis either.

I have a cap which is currently grounded to the negative ground from the battery I am running a wire from that that to the cap and then to the amp. I was told this is safe but not sure.

The cap is mounted on the sub box but i want to move that somewhere else in the trunk on the right side.

The ultimate goal is to be able to move the sub box in and out of the car without having to remove A: the power cables or B: removing the ^#%^$ cap everytime.

Any suggestions? Please post pics if u have em?

Thx

mount the cap as close to the amp as possible (other seat) run a fuse inline with the power to the cap then to the amp. all that should be connected to the box is the speaker wires

You really should have the cap and the amp closer together.

But if your looking for another ground try one of the bolts that hold the antenna in on the passenger side

either way you know what i mean. Fuse your power wire within 18" of the batt, keep the cap within 18" of the amp. and just ground the amp to the cap - and run it straight to the battery. Both amp and cap should be secured and when removing the box all you should have to do is take off speaker wires

Why does the fuse have to be mounted within 18 inches? I've had my fuze mounted to my sub box for yearsssss and no issues. Just dont f up the wiring.

Also, right behind the rear seats and under the cardboard floor is a place that you can ground the setup.

its recommended to be mounted within 18"

A good example of putting to much trust in your "install" is thinking "if i jam a fork in a house outlet the breaker will blow b4 i die" In the end is it really worth the chance? while you say don't **** up your wiring there's a lot that can happen and make a nice install fucked. Its your car not mine so if something happens and there's a fire who's going to be crying?
