White noise with new head unit
So I just installed a Pioneer DEH-P600BT head unit in my 2006 cobalt ss/sc. Everything is working, i.e. all speakers and sub but when the volume is turned down low or in between songs and while using the bluetooth function there is white noise or a humming coming through the speakers.
Has anyone experienced this and if so do you have any suggestions on how to fix it? I know everything is wired correctly because all the speakers are working. All speaker connections (except for the remote turn on for the factory amp) were spliced together. I didn't want to cut the pink wire on the factory harness so I used a scotch lock (not sure on name) connector that just cuts through the wire insulation and makes a connection between the two wires it holds.
I don't know a whole lot about audio but the noise would have to be coming from the wires that are for the speakers right? Or is there some weird wiring setup I should have used to properly utilize the factory amp?
Any help is appreciated. I can live with it as is but I figure there has to be a way to eliminate the hum.
