Mine's is an 06 but everthing works, DIC, gas guage, Speedo, Cruis, AC, heater, alarm, headlights, blinkers, and stoplights. Oh yeah, the interior lights also work. Crazy huh!! all with a freebie harness from crutchfield. Of course I don't have the steering wheel controls so that might make a difference.

Nah, you just need to get a steering wheel interface box from PAC (www.pac-audio.com). They're easy to hook up.

Bandit i don't mean to be a pain but how far does the spacer for the dash kit allow you stick your headunit out? Because that way i could just put spacer instead of cutting anything.

I would also need a steering wheel with the controls since mine does not have any , but I do have a remote for the H/U though so that is just as good!!!

Lol. I took it as, "I didn't hook them up" instead of reading it as you wrote it, "I don't have them"

With the aftermarket radio, does your car still display whether the passenger airbag is ON or OFF?

The switch wire should go to the sunroof fuse (a lot of cars that don't have the roof itself will still have the sunroof fuse). If you connect the remote wire to the sunroof fuse you will retain RAP (retained accessory power). In other words, the radio will play for the 10 minutes or until you open the door, like you want it to.

Thanks for the info. When I was tinkering around with the different fuses I had preselected I don't think it worked for me. But I can't remeber. I'll try it again and see what I can come up with.

My car doesn't display that feature.

do you think that little pocket in the dash kit is a good place to put the ipod? I was thinking about drilling a whole in that pocket to send the aux input wire in there from the deck to the ipod.

I hate that pocket. All I do is throw cd's in there when I'm too lazy to put them up. Bad thing is, I have to be careful when I accelerate. I've had a few flying cd's in my car since I've put the h/u in.

well i just got done installing my headunit in my car... it was a easy install and everything works great.. thanks to everyone that helped. The only hard part was getting the deck in the dash due to my deck has so many wires behind it, but finally trying to get the deck to fit i was very impressed, def sounds 50 times better than factory.

With the harness and everything I got now, all the settings on the DIC are just stuck there. So now, everytime I turn my car on, it says CHANGE OIL SOON. Is there anyway I can bypass that and reset it without havinvg to yank my h/u out just to plug in my stock stereo for a sec and reset it???

Sounds like you used the wrong harness or tagged a wire back there you shouldn't have. You won't have any of those issues with a proper install.

Maybe I should have gotten the more expensive harness. But I was told several times that my "play cds and radio that's it radio" wouldn't require the high dollar harness for the aftermarket h/u. And someone told me I wouldn't be able to change the settings on the DIC anymore. I just figured someone on here figgured out a way around that. Does anyone else have my problem??? What harness did you use Bandit???

I used the cheap one and everything works. What did you hook the red power wire for the head unit to?

I hitched it to the ignition relay for now. Plan on trying the sunroof idea as soon as I stop being lazy.
