wiring help pioneer avh-2300
so i have everything wired up i have the metra harness and have two wires left over one is a blue one witch is power antenna and the other one is an orange wire witch is illumination so question is where does the orange one go? and i just leave the blue disconnected? now onto the pioneer harness that im wiring into the metra harness i have a red wire and a yellow/black witch has a tag that says mute. red has no tag and theres no red wire on the metra harness. just to make sure i tap into a fuse for the remote wire right? thanks

I used a schoche harness which had a red wire, but I ASSUME metra has a constant-power wire of some sort. Could look up a wire diagram (maybe) if I knew what kind of harness you had. If its a solid blue or is literally just antenna power, youre gonna want it to be treated as an amp-on wire anyways I think. The orange wire (illumination) should prolly be wired to anything that receives power when the car does, i.e. the amp on wire.
Also, there is a blue wire with a white stripe which is the AMP ON wire, which needs to connect to the amp on wire from the car which, for the 06, is pink. Someone should chime in on whether it changes or not.

i have a 2006 ss/sc and installed a JVC kw-av50 so i'm not sure if this helps, but i hooked up the "power antenna" wire from the head unit, to the blue wire on my metra harness. i left the orange wire alone (didn't connect it to anything). not sure why you are not getting any sound though.
