Wiring Help, WTF

i'm a retard when it comes to wiring. have ZERO clue. keep that in mind guys.

i got some foglights. trying to install them. thought everything was good to go. flip the switch, nothing. except lots of laughter from my girlfriend.

my question, is for power, do you connect one of the wires to the battery? i took off the negative side, sorta took off the positive side and put the "little connector thing" on the positive side of the battery. Is that right?

also where do i connect the ground wire to?

there is no plus and minus. it's just a red wire.

what you might want to do also is when you hook up you r + to + cut the wire and attachit with butterfly clips to each end of a fuse . . .this way , if you have any problems with a ground or power issue,it'll pop that " inline fuse " instaed of working tis way into you r fuse box or worse , something to think about. you can even buy in line fuses just like for an amp wiring or anything else . i put one in 5 inches form my power supply when i hooked up all my neons inside the car.i'd rather pop that fuse then fry my fuse block lol. good luck .

the wire has a fuse in it.

so you guys are telling me to connect the black to the battery? the black is the ground. i'm not talking about re-connecting the battery, i'm talking about how to get the power for the fog lights.

hook which ever wire the kit say is power to the battery , from the fog light it should have a second wire for ground, drill a hole in something metal so it will have a bare ground and attach with a screw, there should be an accesory wire to hook to the switch, you may have to run all your wires to your switch adn go from there also what is the set up , how many wires and how many terminals on the switch for it?
