Wiring Nexus 7 wire to factory AMP - Need audio guys
I'm hoping somebody with electronic/audio knowledge might be able to chime in here..
I'm wiring up my nexus 7 tablet, USB OTG from the micro USB out, and a micro USB hub to the OTG Cable. If i'm running a DAC from one of the USB outs (Assuming it pushes audio, which i'm taking care of), what's the best way to get audio to all speakers? the DAC only pushes one RCA output, L/R. If i was to get a couple RCA splitters to sort the single RCA output from the DAC to the amp, can i effectively push audio to all speakers this way?

You need a switched signal for the remote wire; however, it is not a 12v circuit. Remote wires only get a signal to turn on the amp and that signal is low. Something like 5v. You need to install a voltage reducer on a switched 12v to connect it to the remote wire for the amp. All that is left is to figure out what voltage it needs. I suggest turning the key to ON and hitting the pink wire with a multimeter to find out what voltage the car puts to that line since it is the OEM remote wire. That is the voltage you need to turn the amp on. Going higher than that could cause issues.
For the amp you will likely need something like this that steps down the 12v switch power to the voltage you read on the pink wire.

For the speakers, yes, you can get line covertors that turn the + and - wire ends to RCAs.

I have a conversion in place for power to step down from 12v to 5v, but I'm missing something in pushing the audio from the digital-analog converter to the speakers. I'm probably over thinking and being a tard haha, but there's only a single set of RCA outs on the converter, isn't there multiple sets going to the factory amp? or is that where i'm being a *******.

Duh. amp should only need a single set of RCAs to receive signal, and it'll separate L/R and F/R from there. I think that's where I kept losing myself lol

I am not positive that the OEM remote wire is 5v. I do know that whatever it is, it does power my 1200watt Kenwood amp with a simple tap and has for years.
Duh, I should have said that. I was thinking four sets of converters. Your thought process is better than mine on that end. You will just have to run new speaker wire for the front speakers to the rear. You may run into an issue of powering the front components though. I was assuming that you are planning on using the stock speakers and stock amp for them.

then you would need 4 inputs. the front and rear are separate. You can just use Y splitters or since the factory is wires anyway just get adapters for RCA to speaker wire and connect the front and back together

When I ran a car PC I bought a harness that you'd use for an aftermarket head unit and spliced my audio output into the new harness. I just split the two channels to make four, which was already suggested. The use of of the aftermarket harness allows you to cut and splice without chopping into the factory harness. My setup was similar to yours since I wanted to retain the factory amp and only use an aftermarket amp and sub.
