Wiring a Passport

So chances are I'm getting a passport 8500 and was wondering where to get wires to wire it to the car (instead of the ac adaptor). Also is it hard to do and what's the best way to do it? I had made a thread about a passport a while ago and I guy had did it but I guess he got banned so now I need to ask someone else lol.

Also for the wiring, is the best place to install it above the rear view mirror? I ask because of the dot matrix.

I would put it level with your rear view mirror on the passenger side, the dot matrix shouldn't interfer then.

Also I know there are hard wire kits available for the 8500 all over, I would just tap it into the sunroof, windows, radio, or wiper fuse.

So your saying to the side of the dot matrix? And is hooking it up to the fuses a hard thing to do?

So I was looking on ebay and there's a lot of choices of wiring, anything better than another? Also at best buy they have a wiring set, should I just get it form there?

ehhh...buy reg wire at walmart its like 99 cents. Extend the wires and wire it to a fuse. No need to spend money on a hardwire kit.

Dum question, where would the sunroof, windows, radio, or wiper fuses be located in the car. No flames lol.
