XM help

I'm putting a Kenwood deck in my 06. My question is I want to use my stock XM antenna with the deck. Local stero shop said they could make it work, crutchfield says no it won't work. Anybody have any experience with this?

They want 380 bucks to do the install. Why I was asking if anybody on here had any experience with it. I haven't pulled everything out yet. I'm sure I can figure it out. Just wanted some insight.
