Xm radio?

I bougth a new head unit and i just renewed my xm subscription and i was wondering how do you use the factory antenna for Xm i dont want to have to get another one. In the stock radio there were two harnesses and on i know is XM but anyone know either how to use the factory one or which wire i can splice into to get the factory one

From what I heard is that you can use the same antenna, but for the subscription is through the radio id. If you had a subscription from your factory radio you need to cancel that one and start up a new subscription with your new radio id. I was talking to someone who installs radios and that what they told me. I dont know where the id is though. I didnt ask that

the xm tuner is in the rear of the car. you need to get an xm turn for your new radio and just plug the stock antenna into your new turner

The radio ID is on channel 1 of the XM band. There is a how-to guide on how to use the stock antenna in the How to Forum.

just a side note i heard that Sirius is supposed to be coming out with an adapter kit so we can use out factory head unit and antenna for their subscription service. they already have it out for several other GM cars and i heard they are working on more models. sorry to be off tipic a bit i just thought it might be informative
