Your opinions on system?

Ok well, im not into the audio scene at all but i woul like to upgrade my 7 speaker system with something a bit more powerful. Im looking for some speakers and subs that will make killswitch engage sound insane but also at the same time make lil wayne sound amazing as well. Yes my music is completely different but im not looking to get a system for 1 type of music. LMK thanks. the cheaper the better I already have a headunit

id look at a single FI Q (google search fi car audio) or even a SSD in a sealed box for the sub. amps are a dime a dozen but im partial to rockford fosgate... let me know what brand/type your lookign at and ill let you know yea or nay. for front speakers id go out to local audio shops and listen to a few pairs of them... look for a componant set up front and regular 6X9 in the back

agreed but you can also shop good and save money... just because you spend alot doesnt make your system good know what im saying. I could sell you an audiobahn sub for 1k but it probably would do worse then a re 8 for a hundred

I'm a big fan of Fusion Audio, its cheap and it sounds amazing. Get at least a 12" ported, new 6x9s and new components and you'll notice a huge difference. Top it off with a Kenwood Head Unit and your set. The Sub setup I'm running cost under $1k and had enough power to blow apart a Bassworx test box I was playing with and knock my drivers window out of the track.

I used to run all RF stuff and they also sound really good, I just had to warranty 2 Sets of 6 1/2" Comp Speakers and a set of subs within a year, the fusion stuff I can abuse and it seems to hold together.

I would go diamond all the way... BUT it all depends on how much your willing to spend on a system in the first place.. just remember you get what you pay for...

I have two diamond d3 12" subs and they hit hard and soft depending on what music your listening to... also for some compontents(speakers) I would go with diamond Hexes 6" or 6.5" for the fronts and some hexes 6x9" in the back... also infinities are nice speakers but they make terrible subs.... alpine makes the type R which ive been impressed with.. the type R speakers are pretty nice too... if you have anymore questions pm me and ill answer it...

Oh and for the diamonds the subs were 220 each and the speakers range... so just do some reasearch...

It really depends on how far and how much money you want to spend in getting an good quality sound system. I like yourself like to listen to all kinds of music, so it is important for me to have everything sound good that I play.

Basically for a good set-up you want to have the following:

good quality 6.5" components in the front. JL Audio, Alpine, Polk, Infinity, Focal are just a few of the speakers that you could go with.

Get some good two way 6/9's for the back, again there are a verity of good speakers to choose from.

Have your inside speakers powered by a separate amp from your Sub. Make sure the Amp you get matches up with the power that your speakers can handle. Alpine, JL Audio, HiFonics, Rockford Fosgate all make good Amps.

As for the sub, I would recommend putting a good 10 or 12" inch sub in a box separate from the factory enclosure. Only because in the factory enclosure it is hard to find a sub that will fit in there, and you can only put in a 10". So I would say put a good 12" sub in a box and disconnect the factory sub. Also, don't think that you will need more than one 12" sub. A good 12" in a box can put out enough bass to compliment your inside speakers. Too much bass can ruin your system. Again there are plenty of good subs to choose from, JL Audio, Infinity, Alpine, Kicker.

Again connect your sub to a separate amp from the inside speakers. And make sure to match up the amp's power to your sub's capabilities. By having your sub powered off a separate amp from your inside speakers you can take advantage of having a sub woofer controller if you have a aftermarket head unit that has this. Most good ones do.

These are just some suggestions of what you can do.
