i'm not gonna have the biggest or loudest...but i'm going to get my 2x Kicker comp 12's and my 900W Audiobahn amp installed on sunday...that should give me enough bump in my trunk

Biggest and loudest could be a bad thing for a small car like the Cobalt. You might rattle right off the road.
I originally had 2 Xplode 500W amps and 2 Audiobahn 12" Performer subs. One of my amps blew somehow because Sony sucks and I'll be rocking Alpine Type E subs when this mess is fixed.

i know the comp 12's aren't the best...but i'm gonna have my guy tune them down for clean, precise bass...i dont like the constant thumping just for noise. I want the clarity and punch of the stock pioneer 10...but just more of it. The reason why i'm getting the comp 12's and that amp...is because my buddy is replacing his system with a new one...and i've heard them...so i know what they can do...and he's installing everything for me for $400....not bad at all. I might not have the best subs or the most power...but for $400...it's a pretty sweet setup for what i want it for.

ya that does sound pretty decent. however im really big into all this stuff so i have alot of bump in my trunk if you will, is there anyone in this forum that has a huge system or a real cool looking setup

no thats okay im guessing there jst right next to each other sitting up against the back seat. hard to breathe i know what you mean my current setup hurts my chest like crazy

Here is my setup:

Not working at the moment, the Amp is in for warrantee repair.
And yes thats plastic wrap on the top to protect the plexi.
