the 2003 'Solid Tech' SRT...

Ehh, looks more like a dyno queen. My bro's srt-4 has stage2 and some other goodies, makes 300whp, but he only runs 14.2@98. Pretty sad if you ask me, im sure its the drivers fault, but im not sure of dodge's credibility when it comes down to putting power out to the ground.

The car has yet to run at the new power levels however, when it was only making 480hp it went 11.80's with a best trap of 125mph, the DA was 7500ft on that day......

So now your telling me the dodge needs to make another 215+whp horsepower to run a second faster in the 1/4 ? Once again, not to bash you, but maybe your not getting traction, which is the most probable reason, or you got another problem putting the power out like i said in a previous post. But all in all, nice car, and hopefully you can get her down the 1/4 a little better with 630hp now...
But yes, traction is diffulcult in the SRT and in many cases it comes down to track prep which I or nobody else would have control over.
Trap speed is a big indicator for HP. SRT's are relatively easy to get into a 120mph trap, at the time my car went 125mph it wasn't as easily done, as that was the 3rd highest trap
in the Country. In say a street race, a 125mph car would in all likelyhood rout a 108mph trap car, a 17mph advantage is huge. At this point in time it is unknown for the most part what type of hp/tq a Cobalt SS requires to run a 11.80 and trap into the 120's, but if you look at the 12.8@108 car, it obviously needs major work/power to achieve those levels.
I know I raced my other SRT driven by my son on the street when he was trapping 110mph and my car easily routed him.
Now I am in no way knocking the 12.8@108 car, I am very impressed by it and will attempt to overcome the altitude I have to deal with and try and run my SS in that range.
The 12.8 car will continue to push up the bar which is good for everybody involved. I remember quite well when a 110 trap was a dream in the SRT.
I am excited about the direction of the LSJ market and I am now part of it, a box of goodies from Intense showed up at my door and the ball is rolling. IMO the SS needs to trap above 110 to really start to make a name for itself...
I believe those type of trap speeds are right around the corner.

high 14's, i think the stage 2 cobalt and DVS' cobalt both ran 14.9 PB for both. Not to bad for the altitude.
I would have expected closer to mid 14's out of them

the DA (Density Air) for Albuquerque International Airport right now is 7875ft, a performance killer....
that past Friday it also was high... when the temp climbs, the DA climbs and it is very very
tough to run a good time at Albuquerque Raceway......
