Base Model on SportLines with FULL SS Exhaust! UPDATE!
EDIT: Added a few comparison pictures.
Ok here it is.
My car has the sportlines with a full SS Exhaust, which includes :
Manifold, heatsheild, downpipe, cat, piping and muffler.
Enjoy, comments welcome!
Old Exhaust....look how puny it is!!
Old Exhaust on the car.
New Exhaust , I'll get pics of the engine later.
Another Angle.
Without Sportlines.
With the Sportlines on.
Without.

it sounds awesome with the new exhaust, it's got a lot more pickup now also.
the cat is soo big it hits the swaybar sometimes, so I've gotta get that fixed still but thats the only problem we had, otherwise it's a direct bolt on!

It doesn't use headers. It's a manifold. And yes Hack, it bolted right up without a hitch.

I will take some more side shots of the car today.
I didn't do the work myself. I had Powell motorsport do it. The guys who built the time attack cobalt. Yes they removed the bumpstops and no the exhaust didn't have to be cut.
The only cutting required was the tip on the SS muffler because it hung kinda low so they cut it off and welded it back on in a higher position.

If so, I can buy a header and full downpipe wicked easy instead of having one made

Technically it should fit just fine. As long as the Cat is not larger then the stock SS one it will be fine, because the SS cat just barely fits on my car.

I'm bumping this because I keep getting PM's from people Wondering about the exhaust. It's all here folks.
It bolts directly up to the car with no trouble. The CAT is larger than the old one so you need to keep it pushed up tight against the manifold so it doesn't rattle on the front sway bar.
Yes the SS CAT back systems will work on our cars and yes it should fit also.
