Bye Bye 5.0
hello 2006 black pursuit GT. Ive had it for 2 weeks now and im loving it...but VERY different from the 88 5.0 mustang i was used to. I will miss RWD for some reasons and be glad its gone for other reasons....BTW anyone in the GTA area want to buy a 88 5.0 mustang with 150,000 kms on it??
disregard the wood block...e-brake was a little weak

i have actually been thinking about keeping it and throwing bits of money into it at a time...maybe slowly building up a motor for it. I have noticed that the 5.0's in GOOD condition...which this one is in GREAT condition, are hard to find.
most of them have been modded and had the **** beat out of them and the uni-body frame twisted to hell...or just crashed
this one is bone stock with 150k kms on it and no rust. These will become rare cars soon at the rate they are goin now

And the aftermarket is huge (half the people on the board probably don't know what big aftermarket supoort is and parts are cheap. I hardly ever see Fox body Mustangs anymore.

Everyone and there grampa has one in the oshawa area.
They are the only really fast cars around here save for a few vettes (1 - 2 ish) and a Fiero with a 350 tpi in it.

yea i see a ton of foxbodies around me. and most of them are slow as *****. my friend raced a 5.0 in his base 3000gt and even spinning all the way through first and into second he beat him pretty badly. we were both really surprised, cuz we had expected to get stomped.

Ah, the 5.0. Or as my brother lovingly called it, the "5.Slow." I never really liked the foxbodies myself, because nothing about the car except the badging said "Mustang." But hey, it's better than not having a V8, that's for sure.

heads cam and intake on that thing (with a few other minor details) will get you about 300 hp. and since it's a fairly lite car, that 300 hp could do a lot of damage (to other cars, that is)
