FCOTM is nothing more than a popularity contest (for the most part). For me I've never spoken to 3/4 of the people who voted for me. Now if I went and spread the word like you said to all Canadians and guys who love their LSJ as much as I do, I could have got way more votes as well.

3 time winner with stock wheels painted black. i really don't think it has anything to do with him being a mod. he's got a clean ass car, with clean ass pictures. sure theres people that vote for engine mods. but you can't see those. fcotm is about showing off your car. which means great pictures. would you go to a car show with it covered in dust and dirt? probably not. so why not post amazing pictures.

I love all the discussion over FCOTM nowadays.
It basically comes down to: Photos, Mods and Popularity.. or other stuff. Not in that order because someone can win by having different amounts of each. For instance, Soccer has great pics and has been really active but he wins because of his mod list. BPacak has the whole package this month. Yes he's popular, but there are a LOT of people who don't like mods and would vote for anyone but a mod. The car is tastefully modded and not only looks good but is fast. I'd say the pictures are the main strength though. They are absolutely amazing. I love the honesty in the pictures. The dent on the driver's side under the rear window isn't hidden or avoided. This is THE best car running this month.
Six of the last minute votes for the other guy were from users who had never voted for FCOTM before... except for one guy that voted for Dom. Out of those six, the highest total post count was 64. The other five averaged something like 13 total posts... ever.

i completely agree that bpack has a great car and probally deserves to win.... my point is only, bpack deserves to win, but he is a mod, so the free membership is essentially wasted.... so why not give the free membership to the runner up? then in the case of the mod entering and winning is more of a pride thing for them.... and the runner up will be happy, yes he/she lost to a mod, but he/she will have the free membership and there will be no need to run again.... thus it will open the door for other guys to run for the car of the month.... which in return allows different people to enter and have a shot at winning....
or how about a idea like the mods get 1 month to compete against each other, then 11 months for the rest of us?
i am really just bouncing ideas out there and looking to see where they land....

thats like getting a trophy just for participating. if you want the prize earn it.
but honestly i really don't know of anyone that competes just for the membership. fcotm already is about pride.

or lets say if mods do run then the runner up gets the free membership.... call it the honey boo boo award...
my only interest in this talk is too spark intelligent conversation on small improvements we could make in the site.....
@ burner lol dude you think we are sitting on our thumbs while the americans went in a kick some butt in iraq? seems to me we are really heavily involved in afganastan.... not to mention what the canadian forces have done in the past..... including 1812, remember in school when you learned we defended against the usa....

i think its cause i failed at the entry. but yes your car is bad ass. im sorry to say none of the others caught my attention as much. maby one in there. the one heavly modded LT/LS
