How much you pay to get it detailed? My car's black as well and I can tell it's gonna be it after winterish. Detailing goes about taking small scratches and **** out right?

DIY lol. Go buy a cleaner wax, meguiars scratch-x, and a top coat or polish. Wash you car using dish soap or w/e the use the cleaner wax. after applying and taking off apply the meguiars scratch-x. remove that and apply your top coat or polish and the black WILL SHINE. If you are still not satisified use turtle wax ice as a FOURTH coat to make black really shine.
take my work i work in a detailing shop do it on the side out of my house and OWN A BLACK SS/SC.

I've taken the old cars I've owned to the dealer and had them detailed and you know I've found out that if I use my trusty ol' Bissell wet vac and spend the day drinkin' beers with the boyzzz and washing the cars together in the driveway.......It looks the same if not better. I wasn't totally satisfied with the detailing they do at the dealership. It's just a few kids doing the same thing....................not professional at all!!!!

it was 140 for a complete detail.. engine compartment, interior, trunk, etc
There are no more swirls in the paint at all.. He is really good at what he does.

Wow, that isn't a bad price at all for all of that. Did you happen to ask him what products he uses? Also did he use a buffer or do it by hand?
I also have a weekend auto-detailing business and have been looking to see what others are charging for their services.

im in the slurpee city, there will always be a slurpee cup in the car. Not much you can do about it. lol
I find washing a car fun too, I do it all the time.. But when it comes down to scratches and **** in the paint, i'll let someone else do it.
