Never heard of pentax?

They are a big name in photography along with canon and nikon. You just don't see as many as you do canon and such. They have been around since 1952.

That's no prob. I wasn't trying to be a dick so I hope my post didn't come across that way.

I love my camera. I'd probably sell my car before I sell my good camera Theres a point you reach when you get deeper into photography when a camera isn't just a gadget anymore, it's more of a tool.

One of my favorite quotes from Dorthea Lange:

The camera is an instrument that teaches people how to see without a camera.
Ok I'll stop thread hijacking now

you're so deep.

considering that your camera and all the accessories you have for it values more than your cobalt i'd rather take the camera too.

for the thread starter, that point and shoot camera takes very nice pics. pretty good price for it too.

exactly, thats what i was looking for in a camera, portability and good quality. these pics were taking in 'autopicture" mode, where it decides the the best options. I'm a newb with digital cams, this is my first "decent" one

you are starting off on a very good camera man. the more you take the pics and mess with the settings the more you learn. when i started getting into photography i thought it was all about the megapixels but boy was i wrong. i picked up some photography books and learned alot. feel free to ask me any questions you might have regarding taking pics or settings. i'm sure marc wouldn't mind either.

i would start off w/ a nice point and shoot camera that has a variety of shooting modes. a camera, that you can manually change the iso, white balance, etc. settings. you can never go wrong with canon. this camera is awesome and takes great pics.

Are those child size socks in the passenger side door handle? BTW nice pics of the car. My 1st 35mm slr was a pentax, then my mom repo'd it back. It took her nearly 4 years to notice it missing. She did not deserve the camera as far as I was concerned.

LOL, good catch. I spend 9 months a year in STL, so I can tell you that Lou Fusz is a STL dealer. The WI plates are a bit befuddling, though. Bought in STL, then moved, perhaps?

On topic - really nice pictures, man. The car is gleaming... on the outside.
