Exclamation boost problems help please

maybe some one can help me i have a 2006 cobalt ss/sc im only boosting around 8 pounds max is that normal with the mods i have?. what is the stock boost for an 06 cobalt ss/sc. the only mods i have on the car is a header and a magnaflow muffler with out the resonator. how do you know if the bypass valve is not working or the bypass solenoid is not working? the butterfly valve on the bypass valve is not stuck and moving freely and there is all new vacuum lines on the bypass valve and solenoid any other ideas would be awesome. thank you.

Seems like that would be about normal with a header.

it don't bog nor sound choked out it sounds good the rpms don't dip down. BUT when it gets up to 4000 rpm in second gear it seems like it has no power and rpms climbs really slow. when i had my injen intake on it would only boost 10psi and yesterday i put my stock air box on cause it kept throwing maf sensor code when it was wet out and when i put the stock one on it only boosted 8psi

you change the intake when it rains?

did you disconnect the battery and let the ECU reset?

I was just saying that with a header it's normal to lose a PSI or two but I guess not as much as you are.

My m62 sunfire boosted 8-10 lbs depending on season. I also had a 4-1 header with full 2.5 magnaflow exhaust. Also I notices powerloss up near 4500-6250. Just the way of the supercharger I always thought. Plus I was on super rich GM tune.

It will loose some steam up top of course but if your gut is saying "this does not feel right" than something may very well not be right...

You have any way of going to a cobalt meet nearby and finding someone with a similar car to drive along in?

Is it doggy when going WOT first to second and into third? Could be your heat excahnger pump crapped out and your IATs are high so timing is being pulled

Could there be cracked lines so it's releasing boost when it shouldn't be?

Could be a lot of different things, I'm not extremely familiar with the lsj just know the ic pump failure will make them feel doggy
