Forced Induction/Backpressure= IKE&Tina

Einstein's theory of exhaust relativity says ForceFeeding does not need or want backpressure, however these cars have OEM boost controllers/boost bypass valves therefore u don't boost consistently. After accelerating the mercury goes back to negative/atmosphere upon cruise. SO, is there such a thng as not enough backpressure for LSJs? or LNfs?

...in regards to stock GM flashes, not standalones or PBs. i have stock exhaust but i want my S2 to breathe better i want dual exhaust(SLP) plus a set of long tube primaries. Im more concerned w loss of scavenging fr cool down rather than bpressure. any1 outhere lost power from open exhaust?

I think its about choosing the right size for your setup to maximize the exhaust gas velocity/scavenging, im not so sure saying you want "back pressure" is the correct way of putting it. if you go full 3" for example on a GMS2 setup, youll feel that loss in power/torque as well as the power curve shifting some

Really its about picking whats best for your setup. From what i know, turbo you want as little "back pressure" as possible, with a blower its more about choosing a setup that will optimize your exhaust gas velocity/flow, etc. too small in diameter, you add restriction, too large, you lose optimum exhaust gas velocity and feel the loss in power and shift in the power band...

This is my conceptual understanding of it, if im wrong chime in please lol

true and true. i see what ur saying about loss in "feel" i think its all seat-of-the-pants though. the power band might change but i dont think any power is actually lost, unless what ive been told about volumetric efficiency& positive pressure/forced induction is purely theoretical and not 100% practical. @ least its what i believe which is why i ask for input. theory is theory but real world u have variables such as boost bypass which returns manifold Hg to negative even after WOT/under heavy load...

{Slight lateral on the subject}...and in this case i guess what i want is more high end since by nature, blowers loose power up top and has low end twist for days, hence the wild spin outs/wheel hop/tire chatter/tq steer that is inherent in SS/SCs AND it does not help, the facthat this gearbox is missing a gear AND has a short first gear. i want a track car, by design, this is NOT a drag car. its FWD 4 good's sake, the diff ratio is only suited for corners, axles are not drag, tires r not drag, trans is not drag, this is "just" an all-arounder way more potential for track proof positive FE5 was developed in nurburgring and perfected there w the turbo model which set a record
