From what I hear, all of that stuff is complete and ready to go into production.

well I emailed them and amazingly they called me back today. I wasn't home when they called but the guy that called me said he wasn't sure if they were doing anything with the ECOTEC motors but he mentioned something about supercharging and saying something about six months. I'll listen to it tomorrow again and try to explain it more.

Hmmm...in a production car, I wonder how they would route the air intake to the turbo, and the pressurized output to the intercooler...looks like it would have to be over the engine's top for intake....

Do you know who it was that left the message? We have a 2.0 with a standalone waiting to go on the dyno but between Bonneville and SEMA things seem to be at a standstill.

I am usually the person making those calls but occassionally a diesel consultant will. I will surely keep you guys up to date with any new revelations. I am going to try and video the dyno runs once they happen.

so when you turbo the motor do you still have the supercharger or do you just eliminate that and just have the turbo??

I can't wait for SEMA and all that jazz to be over. The LSJ should have had a turbo conversion kit along time ago. I just want a turbo kit, is that too much to ask?

Everything comes out at SEMA or after. All the big wig tuner companies release their stuff at SEMA. That is just the way all things work out for some reason. I bet that's what HAHN is doing right now. Trust me I have been emailing them like crazy trying to get all sorts of information on their kits they are working on. Everyone is sealed tighter than a drum before SEMA! I hate it too, but that's the way it is!

just out of curiosity<<not sure if thats spelled right>>with the design of that turbo, with the intercooler piping so close to the to the engine head won't that cause the the air in the pipe to heat up before it even gets to the turbo taking power and will that **** even fit under the hood it doesn't look like it.

also the fitment of that sitting so close to the firewall, I wonder if there will have to be modifcations done to make it fit. Not to mention the turobo sitting right by the exhaust, I know it will get rid of the gases quicker for the better but with the turbo sitting so close that **** is going to be hot. im thinking that its def. going to rob some HP because of the heat and also the air taking longer to get to the turbo from the intercooler what do you guys think? stop me if im wrong which im usually am lol.

not entirely sure what the hell im talking about but thats just me thinking kinder new to the whole car scene but learning you guys have been a big help. THANKS

The compressor outlet may not be in it's proper location. We received the kit unassembled and we just bolted it up for display purposes. I haven't seen a picture of the kit in a car to confirm or deny.

of course it will fit under the hood. garrett is well known for their turbos and products so i doubt they will make a product that does not fit. yes the valve cover and engine will cause the pipe to heat up but in my opinion that air wont be sitting in that spot long enough to get that hot to make much of a difference.

turbos are always that close to the exhaust, they are mounted to the exhaust manifold.
