procharge vs turbo vs super

Just curious on your guy's views on which setup is the best for an engine build or for power making in general. what are the pros and cons for the setups? which would you choose and why?

thought procharger was just a centrifugal supercharger. Just like a twinscrew or roots supercharger but only works under high rpm

Depends on what you're looking for....

If I were building an autocross car, i'd keep it supercharged for quick response down low

Drag strip, full out turbo and cams

Street car, either one works, just personal preference....you'll make more power with a turbo thats for sure but will have lag....I don't like the idea personally of a procharger on a 4 banger but they are quite nasty on goats/f bodies/vettes/mustangs/etc.

where do you want your power? low (supercharger) mid (cent. supercharger) high (turbo) generally.

Well considering I have one of each in my driveway, I will say each has their advantage. My balt has some crazy torque and power down low, but lacks just a bit up top. My Integra has some damn good power down low, and crazy power up top. With that said though, after driving the turbo car for awhile it has grown on me and I prefer the way it makes power for some reason. The EVO III 16g just compliments the stock block B18B so well though. I'm gonna have to vote turbo here.

just go turbo cole, you will be much happier with the way it makes power. the turbo will have a bit of lag at the bottom end but that will save your drivetrain from the abuses a supercharger will put on it. the procharger will make most of it's power near redline and take longer to build pressure than a turbo. the only thing about a turbo setup is you will have to fab up more piping, and do a lot of research for specing the turbo out. there are a few members on here that can help you better than me on that.

turbo is the way and if sized right there will be no lag when you hit it.

The procharger as long as its not the tvs! LOL

The procharger still has some low end just not as much as a roots!

But when I have time to put the video in you will see the procharger is a lot like the turbo but has just a bit more bottom end. You will be able to see this in the race with the mustang from a dead stop! Its pretty cool because its just enough lag for traction!

Well if they were roughly all on the same playing field as far as power goes then the turbo gets it. Brake boosting ruins people days real quick!

I'd like to see whatever you do work against me brake boosting in my Integra. I don't think you would be calling it bullshit then when I instantly put 5 cars on you. Trust me I have driven my own Integra, and raced my buddy driving it in my Cobalt. In roll racing if you are brake boosting can help out a huge amount.
