I'd like to see whatever you do work against me brake boosting in my Integra. I don't think you would be calling it bullshit then when I instantly put 5 cars on you. Trust me I have driven my own Integra, and raced my buddy driving it in my Cobalt. In roll racing if you are brake boosting can help out a huge amount.

aint gonna be no brake boosting against a tvs...same whp and roll racing is always gonna go to the s/c unless its at a mph to where the turbo'd car doesnt have to brake boost...u guys are compairing a m62 powered cobalt..were now in the tvs world..cole isnt concernd with a m62..
No one will probably belive me without the video, but I am deployed right now and haven't had access to it for over 5 months now. I'm here to say that a fully spooled turbo ready to go as soon as you let go of the brake is just as fast if not faster than a superchargers initial grunt!

now we are comparing other cars.. .getting off topic here. and yes when im talking supercharger i mean the TVS or the Twinscrew. but if actually roll racing and you dont do that break boost bullshit... you will get smoked. but do what you have to do to beat a supercharged car i guess

The procharger still has some low end just not as much as a roots!
But when I have time to put the video in you will see the procharger is a lot like the turbo but has just a bit more bottom end. You will be able to see this in the race with the mustang from a dead stop! Its pretty cool because its just enough lag for traction!

Hey man I tried to stay on track as I have raced the Cobalt against my Integra. We did it both ways and the outcome was pretty much the same. I hate to say it, you can call break boosting bullshit all you want, but when it comes to racing the one in the lead wins! A good driver will take every advantage a car has and uses it to go for the best outcome. Remember, not all people run turbos that are too big and take forever to spool either. My Integra redlines at just a hair shy of 7000rpms and has full spool by 3300-3500rpms and makes power all the way to redline. At 40mph in second gear that turbo is screaming already.

Sure! The Intercooler, piping, and manifold can support 600-700 HP with ease. But the S20G is a great all-around turbo for street use, and has delivered low 11's on nuts, 10's with a shot of N20...so be cautious about running something bigger unless you really really need to!

You're reading the horsepower to the wheels that they made with 60# injectors. The turbo is rated for 500hp which means if you had bigger injectors and/or a return style fuel system or the port-fueler than you could crank up the boost some more. Remember though, there will be a point where you will need to swap over to higher octane race gas to continue making power without detonation. The turbo has the ability to flow enough airflow for 500hp, which should be just fine for 450whp you are looking for.

WHY did AUDI pick supercharger?... (yeah the same AUDI that is a very big fan of turbochargers)
im pretty sure they know 1000x more about boosting than anyone here...

Well, heh, on that note...why did GM, who's put more supercharged cars on the road than any other manufacturer, now toss aside supercharging in favor of turbocharging?

correct.. but my main point.. its not as one sided as many think it is..
and anyone who claims a proper sized turbo has no lag is insane.. they all have lag. reduced lag turbo's have limited power capability due to such a small size and choke flow limits..
its too bad the internet 'propaganda' has done such a good job brainwashing people with turbo's.. becase i could have a great technical discussion, but now it would be pointless.. the only repsonse i would get is.. "turbo's are free power" or just "turbos FTW"
so.. i will save my breath and enjoy reading comments..lol
