Rear Trunk Mounted All-In-One Water Alcohol / Methanol Injection Systems For CobaltSS

No supercharger or turbocharger system is complete without a water methanol alcohol injection system. Regardless if your running an intercooled system or not, the benefits gained from a water/alcohol injection system on both intercooled and non-intercooled supercharger & turbocharger systems are so significant, you simply won't want to run without one once you realize the further benefits possible using one.

116+ Octane With Water / Methanol Injection!

Knock Knock. Who's there... Detonation!

Benefits Of the Water Alcohol / Methanol Injection!
  • Increased horsepower & torque
  • Lower air intake temperature by 50-200+ degree's
  • Reduce cylinder temperatures by up to 250+
  • Reduce and eliminate engine damaging detonation & preignition
  • Increase 87-93 octane pump gas by 10-20 points
  • Allows you to safely run more boost and timing
  • Removes and prevents carbon build up on pistons, valves and combustion chamber
  • No need for expensive racing fuel or additives
You wouldn't drive your car with out car insurance. Now there's insurance for your motor. Protect the investment you have in your motor with one of our water alcohol/methanol injections systems. Increase horsepower and engine safety all at the same time.

The Only Fully Assembled, Pre-Wired & Pre-Tested Water methanol Injection System On The Market!

Our all-in-one trunk mount "systems" make it easier than ever before to install. Unlike other competitors water methanol injection "kits", you won't have to worry about assembling the components first and then trying to find space to install the pump, container, controller, hoses and wiring under the hood of your ride (nearly impossible on newer vehicles). This can be time consuming (between 4-5 hours) and costly (most mechanics charge at least $80-100 per hour). Our trunk mount systems are typically installed in 60-90 minutes!! That's because our system comes pre-assembled and pre-wired. So the only thing you'll have to do is install the tank assembly, apply power, mount the nozzle or nozzles and run fluid and boost line. It's that easy!

Not only do we assemble & pre-wire each system for you, each system is hand tested before it's packaged to ensure you receive a fully functional system everytime.

Our Kit vs. Leading Competitors:
  • Most advanced & versatile digital progressive controller on the market - compare for yourself vs. the competitors
  • Our all-in-on controller allows you to run not only a boost signal but also a MAF, TPS, MAP & EGT signal
  • System includes a serial port for connection to a laptop
  • Compatible with 100% methanol, ethanol and isopropanol
  • System comes pre-assembled unlike the competitors which requires you to assemble everything
  • System can be installed in 60-90 minutes - That's 4-5 times faster vs. the competitors under hood kit
  • No unsightly pump, reservoir, hoses or added wiring under the hood
  • No need to convert existing wind shield wiper fluid container
  • Our system is completely hidden in the trunk for a stealthy install
  • 1.5 gallon container vs. the competitors common 2 quart container
  • Much less frequent refills required as the leading competitors do

How much does it cost for your setup on a 2006 Cobalt SS supercharged? Also, are you going to run a group buy or a introduction lower price? Thanks for your time.

Not everyone wants a rear trunk mounted system or has the room for it. Occasionally, we will have customers who do not have room for a rear trunk mount water methanol injection system as they may have stereo equipment taking up the entire trunk.

Installation also use to be the biggest down fall for water methanol injection systems in general. With our all-in-one trunk mount systems no longer do customers have to struggle locating space under the hood for an additional container, water pump, controller/boost switch, check valve, electrical or boost/fluid hoes. Everything is easily relocated in the trunk of the vehicle. Best of all, we are currently the only company who assembles, pre-wires and tests the systems before they are packaged. Under the hood kits can take up to 4 hours to install, out system can literally be installed and functional in under an hour.

Let me know if you have any other questions about water methanol injection.

There are a couple reasons why are rear trunk mount systems cost more then competitors under the hood methanol injection "kits".

For one, the added cost of our 1.5 gallon custom tank and mounting straps. If you notice, the under the hood kits by competitors come with 2 quart generic containers. These are very inexpensive therefore the cost of the system is considerably less. It should also be noted, some of our competitors simply do not include a tank. They charge additional for the tank.

Our controllers are also much more sophisticated and come with many more features then the competitors controllers. Quite simply it costs more to manufacture with all these additional features. Compare and see for yourself.
  • We use a digital processor while others are still analog or use a MAP signal.
  • Our controller is designed to work with multiple inputs such as boost, MAP sensor, mass air meter, TPS sensor, EGT's. Most competitors systems will only allow you to run one type of signal. Our system offers much more versatility built all into one unit.
  • Users can also hook up a laptop for more optimized tuning capabilities as well as data logging. Competitors controller does not offer this.
  • Our controllers housing is also made from aluminum while others use a plastic case. Small detail to many. However, quality always cost more.

With everyone of our systems we also include a check valve. Something not always included by the competitors. You will notice some will charge additionaly for this.

Not all pumps are the same either. Our pumps designed to tolerate 100% methanol, ethanol and isopropanol. Many of the competitors pumps still come with Nomex seals. Not the EPDM alcohol compatible seals. For this reason, many of our competitors systems can only run mixtures up to 50/50 water methanol.

Lastly, we assemble, pre-wire and test everyone of our trunk mount systems before they are packaged. This takes much more time then simply putting all the components in a box and shipping them to you. By doing this we save you from the possibility of damaging the pump housing when installing the fittings. It's very common for customers to over tighten the fittings and crack the pump manifold.

Hopefully this helps everyone understand some of the differences between our system and others on the market. If there's a way we can make it better and easier for customers let us know.

First off, our Stage 2 controller can be set up to run on a N/A application. The benefits on a N/A application are going to simply be the octane enhancement offered by it. From there it depends on the application and if they can benefit from the octane enhancement.

Just so everyone knows, I just got off the phone with these guys. Not only did they answer their phone the day after Thanksgiving, but were very nice and happy to answer all my questions.

Also, I did some research on different systems and theirs is bassically the same as the comparable system from coolingmist. Price is the same too. The difference is that this system is assembed and tested. The coolingmist is sold as a "kit". I am definately getting this system.

Oh there was one question I forgot to ask. Any future plans to update the serial laptop interface to USB? My laptop doesn't know what serial is. lol

Thanks for the nice comments. Whether it's a high horsepower race car application or an everyday driver, we enjoy working with each and everyone of our customers.

Were actually better know in the Corvette, Mustang and Drag Racing industry working with everything from 1500+ horsepower racing applications to normal daily driven hot rods. We only recently began advertising on the Cobalt forum as we have had more and more customers with the supercharged Cobalts requesting systems.

We work closely and exclusively with CoolngMist marketing their products under our name custimizing the systems for our customer applications. It's important to note that we tested and evaluated all the major water methanol injection systems on the market before settling with the CoolingMist product.

What defines and separates a water methanol injection system from another is its controller and the quality of components used through out the system. These are by far the most advanced and versatile controllers on the market with more features built into them then any other competitors controller on the market.

With one controller you can run it on anything from a naturally aspirated vehicle to a turbocharged/supercharged gasoline or diesel application regardless if it's carbureted or EFI. One controller does it all!

Compare for yourself and see the difference.
  • 100% digital processor for lighting fast response
  • Quick, easy to use adjustment knobs
  • The only controller which allows you the ability to manually adjust and change the start pressure, max pressure and curve of the system.
  • Heavy-duty metal housing protecting the controllers CPU. Not plastic like other competitors controller.
  • Greater range of adjustment then any other controller on the market with the ability to run true 2d Map using MAP, MAF, TPS, EGT or AIT in addition to Boost.
  • Built in boost port for carbureted or EFI users who want to run a mechanical boost signal
  • Built in serial port for connecting laptop for enhanced tuning features such as running multiple inputs (2d mapping) at once, data logging, saving and locking your settings.
  • The only controller which allows you to use any of the following signals; Mechanical boost signal, EGT, TPS, MAP, Mass Air Meter, AIT, ACT or any other 0-5 volt sensor on your engine to base mapping of off.
  • The only controller with a built in data logger allowing you to record and review the input signals being ran into the controller. Perfect for those who want to review the systems performance during a racing event, towing, normal daily driving, Etc.
  • Built in status monitor which not only indicates when the system is activated but also performs a system function check everytime you turn your car on indicating the systems CPU is operating properly.
  • The only controller which comes with free Windows based software
  • Unlike the competitors "kits" our "systems" come pre-wired, tested & ready to go ensuring you will not only receive a fully functional system but also saving you the troubles of wiring the system yourself and potentially making a mistake and damaging the controller.

Now available Stainlee Steel Hose Assemblies

For those that want the best quality fluid hose we now offer fully assembled stainless steel hose assemblies (swivel fittings already swedged on) replacing the plastic fluid line. Whether you want that added appeal of a stainless steel hose or simply want a better quality hose that will last you a life time upgrade to our stainless steel hose with any order.

When running 70% or more of alcohol we highly recommend using a stainless steel line for safety reasons as this is a flamable liquid and should be treated as such.

If you have any other questions about our water alcohol injection system feel free to post them here or email us directly at info@alcoholinjectionsystems.com

Let us know how we can help.

Yea, I have been investigating a bunch myself. I have looked at the devils own, coolingmist, snow performance, AEM and an assortment of others that no one has heard of. For the stage 2 progressive kit, this and coolingmist are the most expesive, but the difference is versatility and functionality is huge. Like I said. This one and the cooling mist are pretty much the same, except that this one comes with something that the coolingmist doesn't (checkvalve or better jet or something), and this one is preassembled and tested.

There was actually one of these that "assumes" we have our own tank or are using the washer fluid tank. I wonder what the instal on that one would be like.
