I guess the only thing i'm not understanding is the difference in running this one vs. the typical mbc. What does the electronic system do differently? I'm guessing just limits the amount of pressure in the vacuum line going to the gate so it doesn't start opening early?

Its fully programable. A mbc only modifies the signal coming to the wastegate. You program when you want the wastegate to open with the profec. There is a seleniod that controls what pressures the wastegate sees and when.

Finished welding most of the exhaust, still need to weld the hangers on for the muffer and the tip but that should happen tomorrow. Hope to be driving it as well!!

After I get it dyno'd I will be taking the exhaust off and coating it with a techline coating. Worked well on the cav so we shall see how it works on the whole exhaust!! Almost there!!

My welder is starting to take a ****, so I will be upgrading soon hopefully!

A little up date.

Car has been running well for a couple months. I have been tuning the lower rpms and getting the thing driveable. I hate running around in the silverado getting 14 mpg. I am getting around 30mpg with city/highway mix so I am excited to see what I get when it warms up and I get it on the dyno.

Currently I have the boost controller set to 18 psi. It is super rich up top. I would mess around with it but I will let my tuner take care of it for me. I am hoping I can hit 325-350 on the rollers sometime next month.

I ordered a hahn intake mani and that should be coming soon. So I will have more pics once that happens.

I have decided I am going to do an f23 swap with an obx lsd (say what you want but my cav runs one and has 474 hp so its working). I have 2 brand new f23s and a new gear set from another. I picked up a clutch master stg 4 clutch as well. So once the clutch starts to go I will get the lsd and get the trans buttoned up and start the swap.

Now that its warmer I will try and get an exhaust vid.

It works very well in the cav. It needs a little modification before it can be dropped in the trans but everything we have seen says it should do pretty well. There is also a guy running it with 551 whp and some pretty big slicks and he has had pretty good luck with it.

I just cant justify spending 2k + on the f35 to "maybe" see if it will work.

I have talked with him a few times.

I may do a write up on the f23 swap and the obx lsd install.

Meh, Hahn. I've seen them having a lot of problem with cracking welds.

We shall see. If it cracks I will have my welder weld it up. I was going to have the guy that built the intake for my cavalier fab one for me but that would have been $700. I got this for $450 shipped from hahn so we will see.

I would look into those dips and rises a little bit more. Probably just need to smooth out the MAF or something. Hard to say from here. How much timing are you running past 4500?

18*.... and please keep in mind there is no smoothing/correction factor. Most dyno plots you see are smoothed out and corrected to make the graph look smoother. I am thinking this was minor clutch slip as I had the dyno loaded pretty hard. Fueling was **** on, and no KR.. Its the stock clutch with over 100K... The owner(John) did not want to push it any harder or I would have raised the boost and kept going!

I dunno... they're wierd. Looks like they happen almost every 200 or so RPM... and they last about 200rpm too. Very odd.
