ZFR vacuum lines?
ZFR turbo. I am getting ready to start my car with the ZFR. I have one vacuum connection on the turbo where the electrical connection is that is not hooked up. I can not see any where to connect it to or does it just get plugged off? Can anyone help. Thanks

Thank you for replying. I figured it out. I went on the Borg-Warner website and looked it up the EFR. The open line was a vent line. so I just left it alone. There was also a place where it looked liked something bolted to it. I wasn't certain about that either but what it wound up being was a port for an optional turbine speed sensor. I thought that was interesting. I got the car running a just warmed it up but have not driven it yet. I installed the new PCM that ZZP sold me tuned for my car but now it won't start because of the security. So now I have to figure that one out.

Yep so you ment you have an open port on the solenoid not a vaccun line. Its left as a vent. The speed sensor port needs to be drilled out for the sensor. Its somdthing only the indy cars use. Ive never seen it on a street car yet

The vent is on the boost controller. It confused me because the stock turbos controller did not look like the ZFR. So I thought it had to be something there. The speed sensor port was deep and just seemed like something was missing there. The Borg Warner website for the EFR explained it all. I did take it for a short ride tonight goosed it a little. Seems to make more power than the stock turbo at lower boost pressure. You can definitely hear the BOV even though its internal.

I am not to crazy about the oil feed line so close to the exhaust manifold and the O2 housing and with no heat shield. I got some Thermo shield heat wrap so I will try that. I got of stuff cooking off the exhaust like anti seize and possibly because it's all new. As I was installing the ZFR I was reading a lot about it killing transmissions especially with the 3.82 final drive. So I am hesitant on getting down on it especially 3rd gear the weak gear in the F35. I am looking next into the trans mounts and motor mounts to help with any possible wheel hop and then trans with the 4.45 final or the 6 speed F40 I've come this far. I want to do it right.

Nothing is bullet proof. The best thing you can do is become a good driver and a full face disk in your clutch assembly. Your trans will last long. I had 450 ft lbs on a stock trans and it wasent even close to gernading.
Yeah thr oil line for the zfr is to short in my opinion. Im not a fan. The stff burning off is from touching it. Its normal.
The biggest thing you want to do is eliminate wherl hop. Good trans mounts and control arm bushings

I have the South Bend stage 4 clutch. I have been in contact with John Powell regarding transmission and mounts. I haven't had any wheel hop even with the stock turbo on a tune but don't want to take any chances. I now have the ZZP PCM set up for my ZFR. I had Trifecta with the stock turbo. I went with ZZP cause they have done a lot with these cars and know their stuff. What final drive do you have in your trans? Have you had your ZFR long. Any tips since I am a ZFR newbie. How is the turbo heat in the hot weather under the hood?

Its a fun little car. I don't race it but its like a project car to play with. I want to have the power just in case someone does try a to pick on me going down the road. Plus having the mods that I have separates it from most others. I got to get used to this ZFR though.
