second pic doesnt work.

I bet this new blue is the arrival blue replacement...

That steering wheel only looks a little better, only because of the rounded controles.

The only thing chevy neds to add to the list is a flexfuel engine.

In another forum , someone who would know said the new blue is replacing Granite blue and its pretty similar to granite blue . The G6 lost stealth grey , which is what pontiac called chevy granite blue as well . So dont expect anything amazingly different .

Lazer Blue replaced Arrival .

....and I cant belive , STILL NO WHITE FOR THE SS/SC < HELLO GM , McFly

If you look close enough you can definitely tell that it says Malibu right above the fuel meter and the hazards so..... not Cobalt.

i'm not sure if there is a different in size between the 2 wheels, so i'm going to suggest that their using the same wheel as in the HHR

Yeah thats what I am thinking too, like the pic I posted above. I like how the center cap is black, and the buttons on the wheel. Not sure if I like the 3 spoke itself though. That radio looks cool though if that is what we get.

Man... that steering wheel is awesome.
I would love to have the 6 disc in dash (why it wasn't installed at first?), and the steering wheel looks good

I am sure if you guys want the 3 spoke, you could just buy it from the dealer and they can install it. I don't even want to imagine what the bill would be though.

The wheel on the current SS's cost about 250, the airbag center peice is another 650 dollars. Plus install. :/

every1 SS S/C is RARE!!! they barely made any of them compared to other cars. they made like a couple thousand, thats rare as it is. if anyone keeps their car for 20 yrs, its value will go up

espeicaly when they replace them with a Turbo 2.0L !

These are neat little compacts. But they will never be worth what they were MSRP.

I wonder about the Remote start...then again, I'm a SS/SC so that won't work anyway, right? I'd like to see the new colors and what the "Black Tie Radios" are. I wouldn't mind a 6 disc, but it's getting torn out anyway...How about Navigation? I would not have to replace my head unit then....I will trade someone for thier Polished SS/sc 18" rims too...

I should have figured out how to get my SS/SC in Majestic amethyst...They probably stopped selling it cause I didn't buy it...It's what happens when you can't get it on the right car....same with that stupid white not on the SS/SC, cause man does it look nice on the NA SS.

I was looking at my steering wheel today. I like the four spoke. The buttons are bigger, and easier to press when not looking. The 3 spoke is nice too, but I hope it doesn't have that ugly "SS" symbol instead of the bowtie! I agree that it is more likely going to be the one off the HHR, but we'll see.

I wonder why GM is going to 3-spoke all of the sudden? The C5 Vette was always the four spoke (similar design to 05/06 Cobalts). So was the C6 for 2005, then they added the 3-spoke wheel in 2006! Are three spoke steering wheels that much of a sell now adays?

As far as those two new colors, they likely won't be on the SS/SC. Pace blue is likely replacing Granite Blue, and the Red Tint Coat (replacing Majest whatever purple!) is already on Monte Carlos (and maybe Imapalas and Malibus) but was not available on SS models.

CD changer is OK. I personally don't use the radio much, so I am not going to miss it. Besides, you can burn 8-9 disks onto an MP3 CD already at CD quality, so I don't think you really need a changer, but who am I????

I would have got those polished wheels instead of the painted ones? The gunmetal looks good, but they'll be destryoed within 3 years with all the **** on Alberta roads! Then again, I am seeing a lot of Corvette owners orfering the competition grey wheels, so maybe ours our trenfy too in the gunmetal?

I was hoping for a wing-delete option or a better wing! I am still considering ordering the low rise wing. I like the look of the high-mount, but it is too juvenile for me.

P.S. Avro206: Sorry about the GAGT comments! Like the car, just not the body cladding! I still would rather have had an Olds Alero though!

that 3 spoke steering wheel looks almost exactly like the one they showed as the Corvette C6 automatic steering wheel in motor trend, except the corvette one has little buttons for the manumatic crap (you know the paddle shifters in automatic cars for the sissies).

No one has seen the damb thing! The pics posted are from a Malibu SS! No one knows whether it will be a new steering wheel, or one from an existing GM car. Most likely it will be one off another car, but we have to wait and see.

As far as the logo, yes I personally would rather have the bowtie instead of the "SS". My dash already says "SS", so do my seats. The more "SS" badges they put on the car, the cheesier it becomes. This is a chevy afterall! I know what I drive, I don't need it constantly shoved in my face! Does the Z06 come with a "Z06" badge on the steering wheel?

perhaps they want to be more like mazda... now they have some kickass interiors

Black-tie radio is actually a much higher quality radio, looks better too. Steering wheel will look better but after using the Torrents the buttons are too small and there are small risers between the buttons that makes it anoying. The '06 4-spoke wheel (as in the impala ss) would have been a nice one.

Also, since the radio is upgraded I wonder if we move to corporate HVAC controls too? If so they might look good, expecially if they have chrome bezels.

Anyone know if the current cobalt is on GMLAN or ClassII wiring archatecture??

GM lan

To answer some questions with CERTAINTY . The black tie radios ARE the ones in the new Impala/Monte/HHR . The Cobalt is just getting all the corporate updates and switchgear . The new style HVAC controls should be going hand in hand with the Radio , they were pictured in the diagram I saw of the new centerstack . The black tie radio has a flatter face ( I have one sitting in my garage ) than our current stereo's , so they have to re-vise the radio bezel anyways . The 3-spoke wheel IS the one in all the other current GM's , and the SS models WILL have the SS logo in the center like all the other current SS models . I am crossing my fingers on if they go the extra mile and update the interior plastics to the quality level of the newest GM's .
