Here is a pic of the SEMA Cobalt SS/SC. Any chance they happen to have the 2007 wheel in there and accidently giving us a preview? Of course without the red.

You can get this center cap from your local GM parts department. It's off a Malibu SS or the Maxx SS.

Gm does not sell ANY air bag cover logo's separately . Gotta buy the airbag to get the center cap .

I'm betting Pace Blue will look quite similar to Granite Blue.

GM is good for taking away a color and putting something quite similar to it.

Yeah, then our cars will be worth $1,000 rather than $900!

That's what I keep telling myself with my baseline coupe... It was only out for one year, so it'll be worth a fortune in 20 years! All because I'm too damn poor to get an SS!

6 disc indash CD unit pros...

1. A CD can only hold around 100 MP3's depending on bitrate
2. No more having to find which CD to put in
3. Less scratching on CD's because there already in the deck rather then having to take them out of your case or if you leave them loosely in the glove box or w/e.
4. You can have disc 1-rap 2-rap 3-trance 4-dance 5-mix 6-mix (exp)
5. 600 songs over 100 songs and not worrying about taking your eyes off the road, because 100 songs aint bad but 600 should keep you happier.

Alternative

For us current 1CD player owners just buy a deck that plays mp3s on DVD. 4.7GB's of music = 500more MB's of music then a 6disc indash player and on only 1 disc!. Plus, im sure there are already some decks or LCD head units that play dual-layer MP3 DVD's so thats equivalent to 13 MP3 CD's. Now if they added a "6-disc indash dual layer MP3-reading DVD playing unit" then i'd be jealous. But in reality if you plan on ever upgrading your deck, the 6 disc unit is useless.

The word is the 2008 Cobalt SS , Astra VXR and the Saturn Astra ( the Opel Astra was officially confirmed for late 07 as the Ion replacement ) will be getting a variation of the 2.0 direct injected Turbo engine . Thats not official by anymeans though . Expect at the very least in 2008 if the supercharger is kept that it will get the cylinder head and direction injection that goes with it from the 2.0 turbo engine .

Isn't GM adding tire pressure monitoring as a standard feature in all brands/models in 2007, or is it 2008? Also, replacing all light bulbs with LEDs in '08 or '09.

Since I am now pretty much getting an '08 when I get back from this tour of Iraq, I'm really interested myself in what is being added/changed for the '08 models. I know they will still be around and from what I've read and heard, will still have a SC. Hope they make a few power adder changes/additions.

While I don't have a Cobalt - my girl does. Some nice changes, she'll be happy to know she got her Amythest before it was no longer. Stay away from the 6 disc in dash changer, unless you MUST have the OEM look. When they get older and tired, they'll stack and jam up...won't that be fun huh...just buy a MP3/WMA playback head unit...you'll get more power from an aftermarket anyway...
