your looking at probably 800-1000 for just the wheel. Those airbag peices aren't cheap.

The 07 Cobalt Cataloge at the dealership said that the Polished Wheels are an option for the 07 SS/SC not standard! But I like the darker painted wheels better than all the BLING anyway!

still looks like large cups are going to get in the way of the AC controls. Anyway to remount them above that empty space that serves no purpose what-so-ever??

Yep they are pirellis.. identical rims and tires of the SS/NA of '06. and that rear bumper piece you are talking about is the exact same from the '06 too. if you notice on all three models.. SS/SC.. SS/NA and base cobalts.. they all have different rear bumper pieces. Same go for the front lower grills. Oh and only the SS malibu's and Monte Carlos have the SS emblem in the steering wheel.. i was hoping to see them in the '07 balts..but nope :P lol

That SS thing in the steering wheel is only a sticker thing, U can get one from GM for like $3 and just pop that 1 out, and put that in.

No it is not . The SS and the chrome outer ring are embossed( 3D) just like the bowtie in the 05-06 steering wheel logos . The color is applied by a silkscreen type process , its definately not a sticker .

I did a build-your-own on chevrolet.com today and I saw not mention of the LSD option (or the Recaros for that matter) on the SS Supercharged model. Was that dropped for '07 or am I missing something?

hopefully its not. though they have that same problem on the website every year. try choosing black on black interior and see if that makes a difference.

When I priced out my 06 on the net, you get asked somewhere along the line about a performance package, that would be the recaro package, you NEED to hit black on black though... well that's how it was for my 06..... it was REALLY accurate too!

Eh, probably just a glitch. Doubt they'd offer the thing without the option of the LSD. The reported demise of the Recaros saddens me, but the LSD is more important. Not looking to order one soon, anyway.

Thanks!

Is "Pace Blue" available or not? I think it is a misprint, because the Chevrolet Cobalt website only lists Laser Blue (Yes, it is 2007 model info)! If it goes turbo in 2008, I want either silver or this pace blue. It looks sweet!

No pace blue??? LINK

According to the Chevy Cobalt website, there is no "Pace Blue" available on the Cobalt.

Anyhow, here is what the color looks like on a Colorado. For once, a non-metallic blue:

That would look insane on a Cobalt SS! I like it better than Arrival Blue I think!

Yup. Agree 100%. Not a fan of Laser Blue. Not even the Corvette has a nice blue. Its "Le Mans Blue" looks too dark and purpley for me.

GM< GIVE US PACE BLUE ON THE SS/SC PLEASE!!!!

Majestic Amethyst Metallic Paint production numbers ?

I guess that my '06 with the Majestic Amethyst Metallic paint may be a one year deal.Does anyone have an idea how to find out how many of these were made? I notice that the mp3 player is stock on the LT models this year.My '06 is an Lt with the 2LT Sport Package and I don't have the mp3 player.I did buy one off Ebay todau for $60. I hope I don't have a hard time getting it to work in my car....

No, the ratio of said gear is what gives you better gas milage. Take for instance a Powerglide 2 speed transmission. First is usually 3:1 and second is 1:1. Sure its' a huge jump, but any motor can make that kinda jump, even a BB. And they can't rev for theet yanno?

As for how much weaker the transmissions woudl in theory be. I'd say given a same sized transmission the gears, if they were all sized and made the same way the six speed would handle 16.6% less power than the five speed. BUt they coudl always make a better transmission. Honestly a revision of the current ratios is IMO the better solution. Have 1st-4th be geared closely together for blasts down the 1/4 and 4th be good to about 120 at 7000RPM with the stock tires, and then have 5th be a super tall crusing gear like in the T-56 used by the Camaro, Firebird, Corvette (still in use) and Viper (still in use). I mean turning 2300-2500RPM at 75 would be wonderful for highway traveling. (I dont know what the crusing RPM is currently for that gear at that speed so if I am close or makign the ratio shorter I appologise in advance.)

first gear is 1.76 ona powerglide not a 3:1---that would be too big of a gap.
