COBALT:

<b>Chevrolet 272 Cobalt SS</b>
<img src="http://caranddriver.com/assets/image/l_113200416140.jpg"

Expanding on the performance potential of the Cobalt SS Supercharged before the car even hits showrooms is this 272 Cobalt SS. That’s two-seven-two as in 272 horsepower, owing to a functional fresh-air intake feeding atmosphere through a custom air intake box and into an intercooled version of the supercharged 2.0-liter four and exhaling through a low-restriction cat-back exhaust system. A heavy-duty five-speed manual and modified limited-slip differential help the lightweight Cobalt to put all that power to the pavement, while a GM High Performance Vehicle Operations tuned suspension settles the car 40 mm lower than stock. Four-wheel Baer discs pinched by production Cobalt calipers perch behind a 19-inch wheel-and-tire package to finish off the street performance look on the outside while carbon fiber trim on the inside highlights the SS history.

<b>Supercharged Cobalt Sedan</b>
<img src="http://i.tnpv.us/2004/WKA200410/WKA2004102953944_pv.jpg"

Though not currently produced, the Cobalt SS Supercharged sedan explores the “what if.” Enthusiasts have always looked within their project car’s family tree to source existing high-performance components. The GM Performance Division engineers responsible for the Cobalt SS Supercharged Sedan sourced a multitude of pieces from the production Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe and Saturn Ion Red Line. The aftermarket provided this hot sedan’s enhanced breaking and entertainment systems, while the hands of skilled craftsmen created the custom interior.

Performance-enhanced 2.0L supercharged engine producing more than 230 horsepower
Air intake box from the production Cobalt SS Supercharged coupe
Low-restriction exhaust system from the supercharged Saturn Ion Red Line
Traction-enhancing limited slip differential added to the heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission
Suspension lowered by 40 mm (1.6 inches)
Large-diameter four-wheel-disc braking system
18-inch wheels and tires from Cobalt SS Supercharged Coupe
Audio system with Pioneer Electronics speakers and Alpine amplifiers
Re-trimmed, custom interior that highlights this sedan’s membership in the SS family
Enhanced exterior styling package that takes the production Cobalt SS tirm to the next level

Nice! Great job with the pics, those are great. The wheels on the SS aren't even that bad in your pics.

I love the new Shelby Cobra. Every mag says that it met with less approval then Ford needed so they dropped it for the GR-1, but I still think the Cobra is nicer.

Eddie, you could try going to Quick Links at the top and go to Edit Options, make sure the Show Images box is checked and save the changes. If that doesn't work then I dunno man.

Wow, really nice pics! Thanks a lot for posting them.
Call me crazy but I rely like the s/c SS wing. The more I see it, the better it looks!

Oh and thank you for thumbnails

I with you on the wing. It's not as big as people make it out to be.

It's an LT. LT has the chrome door handles and the LS is body color.
