ill be a guinea pig if they want to borrow mine for the install of a manual. i got my gtech meter today and did a couple of good 0-100 runs. got as good as 14.8 1/4 mile @ 93mph. the hp it says is totally incorrect. i think it meassures engine hp and engine torque i dont know but i did say i had 160 wht which isnt right anyway. and it said i was rackin up 145 hp. which isnt right either. i have 172 whp and 169 wht. but ooh well good runs on that turbo cant wait looks awsome.

There is a full 3" Hahn RaceCraft exhaust on this car. But the stock catalyctic converter is still on it. I'm sure we will take this car back out again with a little bit of minor changes like some drag radials and see if we can better the time. We would also try to make the A/F ratio a little more productive for power, we were running about 11.3 and ideal would be around 12. So we shall see...

Can you get a high performance header that will work with the turbo or not out yet?

The turbo is bolted to the exhaust manifold. You want presure before the turbo to spool it faster.

No, theres no header. The manifold that comes in the kit will be a special manifold that the turbo bolts directly to.

And no worries man I'm here to help!

Thanks man I try. Considering I've got most of you by about 15 years I'd hope I've picked up a trick or two.

I couldn't do a video guys, sorry. I don't have that kind of equipment. An in car video would probably do little for you, there is no instrumentation to look at, and it's quiet.

Seriously, imagine your standing next to your car. Now take away that GM stock exhaust sound and put nothing in its place. That's what it sounds like, nothing. To stand next to it running without knowing it had a turbo, you would have no idea anything was different.

Nice. Is there any noticeable loud "whoosh" when you really get on it? Just trying to gauge how much of a sleeper it is.

I don't even own a 2.4 SS and I'm getting excited.

Decals are standard equipment with every system

Stage III is likely. If enough folks demand it, it will come!

We discussed the Automatic Launching technique for the Cobalt that I wrote about here. Adam tried both that technique, and simply launching from "Drive". He decided the launching from "L" technique was best. But that alone still didn't make it happen. He dropped his tire pressure a few PSI each time, but that wasn't doing it either. Then on the final run, Bill suggested Adam burnout the tires considerably hard. The track didn't want people with street tires doing burn-outs, but they let it slide. That was the ticket. The car hooked, and it hit 13.7!

^
And some people who know it all tell you not to burn out on the stock rubber. Shows how much they know.

Hell yea, would be great for stage III to come with lower compression forged pistons and all the other goodies like head studs and main studs.

Can you say to 13s and say hi to 12s.

Depends on if your older or not, I'll be 35 this July. Most here are in there early 20's.

And I'll get the kit later this summer as long as it does get released.

Good job guys. Good write ups too. It's great to see people getting into the 2.4 scene and not totally focusing on the 2.0 SC! The more the merrier!

GREAT JOB GUYS
That's why you buy the kit NOW, and slap it on the day you warranty goes belly up
God the things I would do with more money...

I'm lovin that this thing is practically a stealth turbo. No BOV , and no boost sound at normal speeds. I bet ALOT of people are going to start hating these cars.

Ricer: "Dude look, there's a cobalt SS up there."
Passenger: "OH ****, is that the supercharged one?"
Ricer: " I can't..I don't know...it doesn't have the big wing....No it's not, listen to it, no whine. I'm gonna show him some VTAK!."
Passenger: "Are you nuts? What if it's Hahn Turboed, You can't tell anymore with those bastards."
Ricer: "Damn....let's go do a flyby on that mustang up there..."
