nice numbers

Actually, we are headed back to GLD (Great Lakes Dragaway) this Sunday, but with our Sunfire and its new engine combo. We'll just be testing, as this will be its first ever passes with this new, very powerful setup, but if all goes well, we will uncork some full 1/4 mile passes.

I wish I had a turbo car at 19. Heck I had a 78 Subaru GL-10 that had a whopping 78 horsepower. 0-60 in well...I think its still trying..

No potential? You could make 250 HP with your car without changing anything inside your engine. And if you did change stuff, you could make 400 HP, and still be street legal!

that sounds like a kick ass car!!!! I'd take that over some generic turbo car any day! I bet it got 458583 miles to the gallon

In the same breath , you can pick up a NA SS for a few thousand less than SS/SC And if the car in question was making fully optimized passes or was even a manual , it would take alot more than $1000 in mods to the SS/SC to pace it .

Just wondering, would we be looking at needing a new clutch for this. I know you guys are talking about the tranny holding up and all but, thats a lot of torque as opposed to our 163lb from stock. I have a 5-speed, and the tranny would be my main insecurity. Just to sum this up, is the whole (drive train) aspect of this drivable for everyday usage?

now, just a question, but would this kit also work on the Pontiac (g5 or g4, whatever it is they call it...)version? I know that physically it would be the same but would you require a different .bin or something for the ecu for it to work?

And all you guys that are worried about the transmission.... there are guys with 4t40e's in cavaliers that have put 250 plus through them for a long time and have had few, if any issues. The 4t45e, if i'm not mistaken, is an even stronger trans. Regular fluid changes will probably be a good idea after the turbo install though, and avoid one wheeled burnouts and spinning tires around corners, it tends to break stuff quick.

Sure it s the exact same car. Minus a body panel or two and the Pontiac badges
