All these people saying **** gm. Let them do what they gotta do. They arent the only car company thats hurting in America. Gm needs to trim some **** off thier gigantic line of cars. Other than blaming gm start blaming the idiots that gave all these welfare...section 8 tards loans to buy houses that can't afford a 5 dollar foot long. That is the major reason our country is in a **** hole. Give GM time.

What a tragedy -- especially after they'd just finished cleaning up the SS brand.
I personally feel this is a mistake. While performance cars are never going to be 'top sellers,' they aren't meant to be. They're there to get people into showrooms, to be an institution to push the limits of a particular vehicle (possibly uncovering some new technology in the process), and for brand bragging rights.
What would GM have ever been without the classic SS? The Z28? The Trans Am? The 'Vette? Performance IS America. (And now I wonder, what about the high end Vettes?)
I just hope they continue, somehow, to produce performance cars. Let a private company produce some custom models. Something..

Oh, and all this talk about GTI? *yawn* I've murdered two of those already since picking up the Mazda. MS3 FTMFW.
Focus ST needs to come to America.

Wow.
Makes me even more glad that I pulled the trigger in November and bought the Cobalt. I missed out on a Firebird/Camaro, Missed out on the '94-'96 Impala SS, Missed out on the recent GTO, all because I was too practical. At least I caught this one before it's history.

I am totally agreeing that this blows dont get me wrong i totally believe that the performace line of G.M cars catches the eyes of america because we love our american cars. im a G.M at heart and will always buy G.M cars but they do need to slim down there line...it all started with oldsmobile yea remember them yikes, nobody like buick and pontiac only has like 3 cars that come to mind that are worth anything...GMC um yea just get rid of that too...its like one truck and 2 suvs come on now i think America can see that the silverado is the same as the the whole lineup of trucks for GMC...cobalt and G5 Same thing no offense g5 owners...G6 and aura...saturn sky...solstice yea pick one gm and go with it and spend the money that your spending on the other lineup of cars that look exactly the same and put it in to the original line of cars...the astra is a huge buzzkill with a horrible name...get rid of the aveo, they are not even worth getting crushed by monster trucks keep the basic cars and ******* stop changing the names it went from cavilier to cobalt to the cruze come on i think they need to pick one and stay with it look at the camery its been there forever...i hate toyota...ugh this blows.keep Chevy,Pontiac, and Cadillac...sorry saturn, buick, and GMC you should be on the chopping block anyone agree.....................I am a Detroit Lions Fan and i will stick with them until they are good haha it will happen just like G.M will climb out of this shithole, but its more likely G.M will rise then the lions having a winning season. Any Takers
