145 mph
So my parents found a picture on my camera of my speedometer going 145. They took my keys, phone, everything! Whats really bad is my girlfriend was the one who took the picture but I told them I did. Well they saw that I had both hands on the wheel... So they called her parents, what a mess that was. But what really sucks is that this happend over 2 months ago just after I broke in my car. I asked her how fast she thought we were going and she said idk 70-75? lol. Well I know how incredibly stupid this was and that I could of killed both of us, moving at almost 200 fps! I totally deserve what I'm getting. Let this be a lesson to all of y'all, IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

That sucks dude. I have a picture in a frame in my room of my speedometer in my old Mitsubishi of me going 150mph that I took with one hand on the wheel, haha. Good thing my parents never paid attention to detail. =) My dad used to drag race, so he couldn't get but so mad, and my moms has known for years that I have the need for speed. Of course, I didn't live at home at the time, and I was also 20 when the picture was taken, so there's not much they could have done about it anyway. Hang in there man. You'll be back behind the wheel before you know it.

You just have to deal with the situation your handed.
Could you of thought fast on your feet and got out of it?
It's possible but what happens if they find out your lying?
Sucks man, I fell sorry that your car's gone but then again that was dangerous speed to be going with passengers in the car. I pray it was a straight road with no turn on sections.
This reminds me of my older days in the 89 Camaro. Every car I've owned was out of my money my name on the title and my insurance but it wasn't until I moved that I finally told my parents about the years of rally racing and Wednesday night street races in the straight shot quarter mile road. They nearly $hit a brick but got over it. My father had his license suspended when he was my age for being caught drag racing on street and then ran from the officer. Officer would of never caught him if the stroker engine didn't blow the radiator hose and overheat. So he's more forgiving then my mother.
Hope you get your car back soon.

i think hes the only smart one in this thread actually.
kudos to you for realising that you needed to learn a lesson from it.
you did somethin stupid, and you know it.
take your lumps and learn from it.
trust me. it coulda been far worse.
and the rest of ya? wow.
and yet you all sit here saying how bad some drivers are on the roads.
and all we do is try to think of excuses. or ways to avoid stepping up for your actions.
pathetic.

I'll be the first to admit I did stupid stuff when I was younger(17,18,19), but I've grown so far out of that it's not even funny, and I'm only 23. Racing and speeing is for the track, but I'll always admit what I have done. I baby the hell out of my Balt. Most of the time I'll look down and be going Under the speed limit.

ive been raised on speed. hell i was speeding during my drivers test and was told that it wont help me pass. i laughed. my parents know i drive fast, and at least my mom knows that i probably race. she knows i go to the dragstrip. she does the whole, your crazy thing, but says its my life, my car, so my choice. im only 20 and living with my dad, but i pay for my car and insurance and have another car that i bought in the garage being built.
although i only drive fast when i feel im not being watched........... otherwise i drive at or near the speed limit
