If he weren't 3.5 hour drive south of me I'd go down there and run him and see what the car can really do ...

I don't know about his gas mileage but mine went from 28 on the highway to 35 after I got tuned.

Mind you this is according to the DIC. Take it for what it's worth. I don't know how accurate it is.

You can get 35-ish if you run 60-ish MPH for the whole tank (did it once, filled up 11 gallons later with a tick under 390 on the DIC), so yeah, 40+ is BS. If anyone can get 40+ with those mods, without neutral-coasting down a mile-long hill every day... I'll probably still call BS, hehe.

The DIC in my SS S/C is about 5% happy from what I can tell, it shows 31 MPG when I'm really getting 29.x. That's close enough for me though, and it might not be that much off in other cars, so I'd do a few manual calculations based on the tripmeter at each fill-up to see the diff. between the DIC and your actual mileage.

yea i don't see how he's getting that good of gas mileage, everyone would have the same set-up if they could get 40+ mpg and have "296" hp lol
