About to buy a 09 Cobalt SS/TC
A friend of mine has a 2009 SS/TC and ever since driving it, I've definitely wanted one. I drive a 1999 Camaro SS currently, but am not trading it in.
There is a White 2009 SS/TC at a local dealer for sale. It has the normal spoiler, G85, and the RPD, from what I have read is a very rare combo...I love the car.
It is a "demo" car with 11,750 miles on it. It is still considered "New" since it has never been registered with the state yet.
They will give me the car for 19,000, originally asking 20k. Tomorrow I will be asking for an extended warranty to cover the 12k miles already on it.
Good deal or no? I was going to go with a new (0-100 miles) car, but fell in love with the white color, and I wont consider purchasing if it doesn't have the RPD (which most around here don't have).
I've already looked at a victory and sport tint red, and also a yellow one...I like the white so far and the price seems to be pretty good.
Thoughts?

The lowest I can get them is 19k. It's still considered new since it has only been a demo car. I've searched for all 09's within 500 miles and none are white, and almost all don't have RPD which is incredibly important to me. Also, compared to others with the same mileage, the price is about average to low. On Wednesday I'll hopefully be picking it up if all goes well at my bank. Can't wait!

yeah, I got mine for $19k CAD on a factory order. You can do way better if it's got 12 000km on it. Either way you'll love it, but I think they're bustin' your ***** with $19 000

Terrible price,, walk away from that.... the car is a model year old and has 12K miles on it. For its TRUE value, go to Kelly Blue Book or NADA and look up a 2009 Cobalt SS with 12K miles and options. That is the true value of that car....

That's a lot of miles on it,and the price is way too much, that would be like someone driving it on average for a year. It's used. And the millage on it will all ready be into the warrenty and you don't even own it, walk away from it

Good news, I didn't get the white one! The car didn't drive right, sunroof leaked air, needed an alignment and had all sorts of rattles....plus someone smoked in it at one point(the cig lighter was used). Went down the street with a couple friends to the first SS I was looking at. Victory red, high rise, g85, but no RPD. Got a decent deal on it, 23,500$ out the door brand new 44miles. Definitely loving the car, glad I didn't get into the white one

^^ reconfigurable performance display
replaces the boost gauge with a little LCD screen that shows all kind of neat ****.
And congrats op. That first sales guy was trying to bend you over the table, but you clentched!

I was gonna say if it has over 7K miles, demo or not, it is not considered new by GM. They would have had to make you sign the odometer disclosure as 6,998 to be honored by GM as a NEW vehicle.
