He said this car has 44 miles on it, so before you try bragging maybe read the whole thread.

There is a White 2009 SS/TC at a local dealer for sale. It has the normal spoiler, G85, and the RPD, from what I have read is a very rare combo...I love the car.

It is a "demo" car with 11,750 miles on it. It is still considered "New" since it has never been registered with the state yet.

They will give me the car for 19,000, originally asking 20k. Tomorrow I will be asking for an extended warranty to cover the 12k miles already on it.

Good deal or no? I was going to go with a new (0-100 miles) car, but fell in love with the white color, and I wont consider purchasing if it doesn't have the RPD (which most around here don't have).

I've already looked at a victory and sport tint red, and also a yellow one...I like the white so far and the price seems to be pretty good.

Thoughts?

Its typical dumb ***** like this that make me post the way I do on this website. It makes the Cobalt owner reputation look like ******* trash.

But hey, maybe if you read 2 lines above the one you highlighted you would have seen that... And look at post #23, a post from the OP, Note the car color...

But hey, you ALMOST got ACEY on that one... **** you're a moron.

I didn't see he picked up one with 44 miles for 23,500

That is 10X worse than picking up one with 12K for 17K.

What a waste of money.

The car will never see enough WHP to know if it was beat on or not. Its a STOCK car with 12K miles. Are you serious?

You are talking like this is a ******* Viper.

I could bounce off the rev limiter with a 50hp car, is that not "beating" on it...

Do you know how dealerships work? have you ever worked in one?
that white SS/TC was ******* BAGGED from the day it hit that lot, everyone who got in drove the **** out of it. Trust me.

in fact, yours was probably bagged as well, Don't worry, the denial stage will eventually wear off.

Yes im serious. You ever seen how a salesman drives a car? This thing was demo'd for 12k miles. That means it probably saw a lot of abuse from people who didnt give a **** about the car. Ive worked dealerships for about 8 years. Id never buy a demo'd vehicle EVER!

My point being... I fail to see how you bought a car with 5,000 less miles than 44, seeing as he didn't buy the car in the OP. Not possible. Carry on with your stupidity.

You would have gotten raped either way. I wouldn't have paid any more than 17 for the white and 20 for the red. Your money though. What you should have done is found a good deal...skrew where it is. I don't care if you're in NY and the car is in SoCal. Do everything by fax and then fly out to pick the car up.

Here's some examples from a quick autotrader search...
97xx miles for 18k
58xx miles also for 18k
3xxx miles for 19k
540 miles...yes brand new car for....wait for it...wait for it...20k
I don't need to continue as my point is proven but I will cuz i'm bored
4xxx for 17k
85xx for 17.5k
29xx for 19.5k
17xx for 19.7k
348...yup another brand new one for...20k

The absolute most you would spend for flight and gas is 1k
and lets say you really really want to ad that display in case one of these doesn't have it I'm sure with a few hours of work and maybe another 500 you could add it yourself.

You got raped

i'd say go as low as possible since it being a demo probably means it's had a few hard goes around the block lol

I was under the impression that you could talk em down if it's a full model year old, especially considering there's possibly brand new 2010's at the dealer down the street

Great forum I joined. Thanks for the help guys.

No wonder I never wanted to be part of the "tuner" community. Good thing I still have my LS1 camaro.

^what she said. There are some ppl on here who can actually be nice to one another and have a conversation without having to rip on each other. And then there are days when everyone does it just to screw around.
