Acceleration issue

My 2007 Chevy cobalt 2.2 L is acting up. It is a manual trans car. When I jump on the throttle it accelerates then bogs and slowly catches back up. What would cause that?

No codes thrown? Clutch slipping, plugs, maf, tps, o2, fuel filter. Could be many things... How many miles? Any of those things been replaced?

Sorry to hear about this, Dazjr92. If I can be of any assistance (checking into recall/warranty information on your vehicle, helping work with a dealership to diagnose the problem), send me a private message with the last 8 of your VIN and I'd be glad to see what I could do to help.

Best,
Sarah

i would check the plugs and clean the MAF first. i dont think it would be your fuel filter cause if that was the case you would be having trouble in the higher rpm range.

Might try the basics:

Clean Throttle Body
check plugs
Injectors
Air Filter
Fuel Filter
Sea Foam
