If you're too poor to put proper parts on your car don't put some crappy ebay brand "JDM" intake. There's no such thing as JDM Cobalts.

You wouldn't buy a k&n for the 2.4?

Save a little more money for that ZZP intake. It'll be worth the time.
I've had problems with eBay intakes throwing codes and just being POS quality.

you can take off your headlight to get to where ever you need... if anything, you can take off your front fender on that side(tire 2 if ya want..) to get the stocker off, but you shouldn't have to

I'm not sure how a CAI on a 2.4 gets routed, but I assume it's like the LSJ's?
That would be down the front left side of the car, before the tire.

X2!!!!!

Check Engine Light will happen. Heck it took the "large intake manufactures" a few trys to get it. Members know who have tried the cheap ebay intakes throw codes and dont work. Save your money, do nothing, or save up and do it right.

Injen and K&N are not just "tubes" like ebay, they are designed for the air dynamics, and have proven gains, not just "sound"

The 2.4's are worth the k&n or injen. I have injen on mine and like it.

If money is an issue you can always check out the classifieds here and get a good used intake off of another member.

Installation is super easy pop off the passenger headlight and bracket and the filter sits below the bracket. There is a hole in your frame behind the headlight that the tubing fits through

Don't buy that crap. Keep an eye on the Classifieds everyday and something will eventually come up. You just have to be patient

True true!

I laugh my ass off when I see parts for an American car which was never sold in Japan advertised as Japanese Domestic Market.
I just lump them in with the "Add 90 horsepwoer for $39.95" clowns.......

I wouldn't get that I would get this instead

http://www.superchargertuning.com/Chevrolet/Cobalt+2dr/

J/K

go with ZZP or someone else. Don't want to put junk parts on your car, it will be a head ache later when something breaks because you cheaped out. Just save up a little extra coin and get something that has actual research behind the design.
