Hi, I have a 2009 chevy cobalt LS XFE coupe that was in a accident, the front of the car is what got destroyed. There were no passengers. The steering wheel airbag is the only one that was deployed. I was told that the airbag, the airbag sdm, the tiebar airbag sensor, both seatbelts and possibly the clock spring are the components that need to be replaced, is that correct? I was also told that the components will have to have the same part numbers to make everything work correctly again.

Any tips?

I purchased a SDM out of another cobalt, but I'm not sure if it's the same, there are so many numbers on it that I'm not sure what they mean. The other cobalt was spose to also be a 2009 cobalt LS xfe coupe also...

Wrecked cobalts SDM: 25990005 IS 5WY82740 25080219 *AS0005220CM6*

New SDM: 25990005 IS 5WY82740 28080209 *AS0005220QYC*

Is it plug and play or will the sdm need a vin learn etc?

 

I should also note that the airbag sdm in the wrecked car was replaced once b4 due to a bad sdm.
