Talking Another Forced Induction option

I was thinking since the SS S/C is getting so pricey I might get an LS coupe and do my own mods. Since turbo seems to be the way to go I was thinking about putting on an aftermarket turbocharger on my Cobalt.

I found this turbo called the Turbonator and was instantly attracted by the price. Has anyone used one of these before and if so how much horsepower did you gain.

It says you can have multiple turbos. I figure a twin turbonator Cobalt couple could smoke and SS S/C and probably even the SRT-4.

LOL "The Turbonator is much less expensive and more efficient than any turbocharger, Turbonator will add up to 35 horsepower to your vehicle."

HAH umm I didnt notice any power increase and got like 2mpg more (thank god it was free )

Stick to a real turbo and get 90-100 HP on a LS.

The Turbonator is one of those things that sell because of the name. The creators thought, what could we build with this busted fan? I know, we could take away the extension cord and call it a turbonator. When they rated the power production, they still had it plugged in to the wall. Fuel economy, they figured that with the gas prices going up, lets say it saves on gas. Hey it looks cool and it even cools you down at the same time!

I bought it, make my CRX loose traction on all five gears. Made a "PPPHHHHHHHSSSSS" sound everytime i let off the gas. It's great engineering.

OMFG THIS IS SO COOL

maybe we can all order together and get a group buy and then we can get type r stickers and led lights on our 15" dubs with 18 degree negative camber and we can jack up the ss wing to 3 feet for the extra downforce were gonna need with a bigger muffler we could get 420 hp easy this rocks i love you zinner for finding this i refuse to use capitalization or punctuation unless it is in excess cos that makes me cool but not as cool as zinner for finding this

dude that's total overkill for an srt or cobalt ss s/c

with "twin-turbonators" you put yourself right up there with the shelby cobras

"I purchased two Turbonators for my Chrysler Sebring and immediately noticed the increase in power. It was more than I expected. I am already noticing the improved gas mileage. I like them so much, I am ordering two more for my brothers. Now, it feels like my car has a turbo charger." - Dr. Brian Coyle (San Jose, CA)

OMG please tell me he isn't joking right?

Sorry I just think this is funny

Is it easy to install?
Yes, five minutes and a screwdriver is all it takes. In fact, it is so easy one of Turbonator.com's employees gave one, with the included instructions, to his fourteen year old daughter who installed it in under five minutes!
